Had to replace lock in a camp. Easy to install - just takes a screwdriver and about 30 minutes of your time. Installed mine upside down so water wouldn't rest in the key hole. Not the most secure, especially if this is your only 'defense', but for a camp far in the woods, it's a perfect solution (after all, if they really want to get in, there are also 7 windows and plenty of rocks. Wouldn't use it stand-alone in my regular residence, but maybe if you add a deadbolt, this might just do the trick.

My teenage daughter expressed to me that she wanted a lock on her bedroom door for privacy. We have lots of friends and relatives visit our home with small children, and the little ones sometimes wander into my daughter's bedroom. She is a great kid who loves to share, but sometimes those little hands get into things! This lock was simple enough to install, and it came with two keys, so she put one on her keychain and I have the other. It does the job perfectly!

I was worried about trying to put it on but it was very easy and if I can do it anyone can! Very heavy duty. I am very pleased with my purchase!

It feels nice and sturdy and was very easy to install, looks nice too. I didn't get it for the house door though I used it inside in the basment I lock up the home theater.
