I ordered this from lowes on-line after finding it cheaper than Amazon, plus I wanted to be able to exchange the lock quickly if things did not work. The part came missing 2 key parts. One which I was able to scrounge form older kwikset lock and the other from the kwikset handleset I was replacing. But the show stopper was at the final assembly of the dead bolt. There I found one of the threads would not allow the deadbolt holding screw to hand tighten. It bound about 4 threads in. There is only so many problems before you have to give up as I did not want to retap the threads myself. So I returned it. What was weird is it came with literally dozens of screws you would never need. I thought the quality of the machining and the lock itself was very poor. They are made in Mexico. They do give a lifetime warranty on the finish. The locks have bumpguard and the smart key.I tried that and those features worked. I'm going to try and find something MADE IN THE USA. Amazon should tell you where this stuff is made . In general Mexican quality is better than hecho in China but not in this case. I think this lock has some design and tolerance issues. It is not very well designed. Looks nice in the box though. I was forced to repair my existing lock quickly and it should hold up for a while until I can find made in the USA handleset. The directions are worthless that come with this lock. So you best have changed a lock or two out before you buy this model or practice assembling it before you try. Very disappointing is how I describe this handleset although it LOOKS great.

latest trend is no more "locking" from the outside without a key. bummer.

this series you can still lock the door with a twist on the handle plus you have a dead bolt.

granted that not the highest security but for my situation...a friend in a wheel chair it is what we needed for them.

Bought this item because it was from a reputable company (I thought) and needed a lock set that would last since we live 1/2 block from the ocean. My husband is handy so he pretty much had no trouble installing and the set worked very well. After ONLY two weeks the set started to loose its finish. Cannot polish it, don't know what is happening. Extremely disappointed.
