4.0 out of 5 stars Good value for small and medium sized dogs
I'll admit that I felt compelled to buy this product after an over-enthusiastic viewing of the America's greatest dog show. This is a good, inexpensive activity if you want to work with your dog on extremely simplistic skills (going through a tunnel, jumping over a bar). This kit is very basic and cheap! The best thing about my purchase was I got an extra jump-which is fine with me because everything is so flimsy-so I will have a back up if something breaks.

I didn't know I would be staking down everything! I thought it would be free standing-so that was a disappointment.

I don't have alot of room to store stuff...

I'll admit that I felt compelled to buy this product after an over-enthusiastic viewing of the America's greatest dog show. This is a good, inexpensive activity if you want to work with your dog on extremely simplistic skills (going through a tunnel, jumping over a bar). The materials are a bit flimsy, so I would only really recommend the activity set for smaller, lighter weight dogs. My golden retriever was not a great fit. However, I would still consider this a good value for small to medium dogs who you have a decent amount of space to work with. Have some fun, maybe teach the dog something.

I don't have alot of room to store stuff at the moment so this worked great-I think the bars a little thin for my do to see them. He's having trouble with the jumps. He does flyball mind you-and is far from stupid!

What I learned is that my dog will enjoy agility-I got him to do the weaves almost perfect in 2 days! So I know I won't be wasting my money when I sign up for agility next month. I have a friend in flyball who is selling her agility equipment so I will buy some things off her.

I know the items I will keep in this kit are the tunnel and the jumps. Can't use the pause box because you have to stake it they couldn't even do a pop out one like how the tunnel pops? The weave poles wouldn't stand completely straight either so those I throw away too-might save them and make jumps out of them.

3.0 out of 5 stars you get what you pay for...., August 16, 2011

It's a bit cheesy, but for a beginning training tool it works just fine. We have a little dog (16 pounds) who's a tad skittish, so the light weight props were probably better than the more expensive, heavy duty or "professional" grade ones to start with, but we're ready to upgrade now.... I would not recommend using this particular product for larger dogs....

3.0 out of 5 stars Cheaply made, July 6, 2011

I would not recomend this product because it cheaply made. Flimbsy plastic for the price of this and once you open it you cannot return it. I have it do not use it and cannot return it so now I am out of money that I could have used else where. It is a great idea to encourage play time with your puppy or dog but it is poorly constructed for the money you pay.

My 10 yr. old daughter is having fun training her Maltese on this obstacle course. It probably wouldn't be sturdy enough for a large dog, but for what we got it for, it works great! It's been good for both my daughter and her dog.

Got a quick ship and receive of the product.

Three out of four obstacles aren't bad. the tunnel due to the way its made will not stay up it wants to collapse. you are btter off with a tunnel that is like a tub ranther than a cube. my female dog loves to run the course, but my male dog is a littel lazy and walks through it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Flimsy and Basic, July 22, 2010

This agility kit is too symplistic for anything besides basic use. The dog I originaly baught this for was a 20 pund poodle cross, it worked OK gor about a month before he got everything, including the weve polls. Then I got a secong dog, andout 60 pounds when I got her, and she stepped on a junp pole ONCE, and it snaped in 2. I fixed it, but it never really worked again. I would not sugest this for anyone with a dog over 30-40 pounds, or is actualy intested in TRAING THEIR DOG!

3.0 out of 5 stars Was Disappointed, August 12, 2008
This review is from: Kyjen Doggie Obstacle Course (Misc.)
I have a Black Lab and thought this would be a good start with agility training. Well I was wrong! My dog could barely fit in the tunnel and the weave poles were too flimsy so when she would go threw them they would fall down. The jump was way too small and it kept falling down also. The stakes that you put in for the weave poles broke. I think paying $40.00 was way too high, maybe $30.00. Would not recommend to anyone unless you have a VERY tiny little dog then maybe it would work better for you!

You get what you pay for comes to mind. The weave in and out sticks in the ground well, but the jump falls apart easily, the tunnel flattens easily in the wind. The sticks that you put together for the jump could be made better, and for that matter why put them together at all. It seems like they could have just made them longer. Not even worth the little bit I spent on it, let alone the normal price.
