Kyjen Hide-A-Toy Gingerbread House Puzzle Plush Interactive Dog Toy

I was a little disappointed in the construction of this toy. My dog seemed to get that the purpose was for her to remove the smaller toys once I stuff them in the house, and she does this sometimes, but most of the time she just chews on the house. This is how I discovered that the bottom panel of the house is just plastic covered in fabric. Given the purpose of a dog toy is to eventually be destroyed I guess this is okay but I worry that she will injest small pieces of the plastic and therefore only encourage her to do it when I'm supervising her. She does chew on the three smaller pieces from time to time as well and they've actually help up pretty good for the past 3 months. The ball from the top of the gingerbread man's hat hasn't even torn off yet so I guess that's good.

My dog loves this toy - she has the hide-a-squirrel as well and loves it. It's a cute toy and she loves digging the pieces out of the little house.

This is one of my dog's favorite toys. She still loves it even though the squeaky toys that get stuffed inside are destroyed. I put other toys and treats in the house and she gets so excited. I'm going to buy the bee hive or bird house next.

We bought this for Santa this Christmas, and as we've discovered, the ball-sized or square type toy is very hard to squeeze through the gingerbread house hole. Also, because there is only one hole, if the ball-type toy gets stuck in the front, it's game over. So we have to keep the square toy outside this toy (not put it back in for him to get it out). But, our dog does like pulling the gingerbread santa and the plush bone out. I think our dog would like this better if it weren't such a tight fit. Try the bees or the squirrels instead, maybe, or in addition.

This is the 3rd time we have ordered this amazing Dog Toy. My dog does a year with this and is obsessed with the house. Once a year we have to replace the house because he literally plays with it everyday! We love this product and it has been the best toy we have ever gotten him. Thanks Kyjen for making an awesome product!!!!!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my dog, Locksley. He's a smart German Shepherd/Collie mix so we're always looking for toys that give a good, mentally stimulating, play-time experience. This toy definitely did the trick! I put a treat inside the house, then stuffed in the three plush toys that came with it. The opening is just big enough for him to get his nose in there, but not big enough for it to be too easy. He has a lot of fun tossing the house around, and rooting out the toys individually. Great fun!

All three dogs love this item (2 basset hounds & 1 husky.) The toys have a great squeak and seem durable.
