Kyjen Magic Hat with Rabbits Puzzle Plush Interactive Dog Toy

My dog absolutely loves this toy! What's great about it is the rabbits are attached by elastic in the bottom of the hat so they dangle around while he plays with it. He gets all excited the more they swing around as he runs around with the hat in his month. It also keeps the rabbits from getting lost. For an added bonus I toss some treats into the hat and stuff the bunnies in so he can have fun digging to the treats. My dog has been playing with it for a month now and it's still in tact. If your dog chews plush toys to bits this probably isn't any better of an option than another plush toy. But for dogs like mine that don't tear things up, this has been so fun and hilarious to watch him play with. The elastic is holding strong even with some tug play from my other dog. Again, if your dog is a rough tugger it may not hold, but it has been perfect for my dog and I strongly recommend it!

Cute, durable, rabbits are attached so I don't have to go hunting for the pieces (like I do with the Kyjen EggBabies). Buys me at least 40 minutes of uninterruped me time, lol... Plus another 25 minutes of Puppy naptime, as he promptly falls over exhausted after playing with it. :)

My standard poodle really likes these mind toys. She loves the hat all on it's own and the rabbits are fun too. Initially the toy came with the rabbits attached to the inside of the had with elastic. With it attached she could never get more than one rabbit out at a time because the second one would get caught up under the first one's elastic. I cut the elastic and since then she has been enraptured with the toy. And it's thanks to these rabbits that after months of trying to teach fetch she's finally found a toy she's willing to chase and retrieve.

I bought this hat as an interactive toy for my very intelligent dog. She gets bored easily with toys and has to have things that stimulate some thinking for her.. I thought this would not be too hard and be rather fun for her. She was not able to get the rabbit out no matter how hard she tried. If I took out the bunnies, and left them dangling she ran all over the house with the whole hat. But, so far she is unable to get the bunnies out on her own and finds the whole toy frustrating. This may change as she gets older. She does like to try and rip the bunnies free of the hat and it is made very well and they do not even begin to come apart.

We got this along with many other Kyjen interactive toys for our dogs this Christmas. At first he was a little confused because the rabbits are actually tethered into the hat with stretchy cord, so he would come up to us for help in getting them out all the way, otherwise walk around with one of the rabbits in his mouth, dragging the other rabbits and hat along the way. Cute.

So for OUR dogs, we have cut this elastic cord, because he likes to remove the babies one by one then run with them into his crate, where he hides them. I'd recommend you try it out and see how YOUR dog likes to play with it before you decide to cut it or not. I've read other reviews here that say it's helpful.

Overall, another very fun Kyjen toy that our dogs LOVE. What I like about it is that even though it's only one hole, it's extra large with little flaps that kind of "conceal' the rabbits until he digs them out. Definitely recommend.

My two German Shorthaired Pointers had the rabbits out of the hat within an hour. The elastic did not hold up. But they did enjoy carrying the rabbits around the house in their mouths.

My 8-month-old standard poodle puppy loves this toy. He has carried it around and played with it for nearly 3-weeks. The second day we had it, he did chew up one of the mice so I figured that would be the end of the toy. But, I threw that one away and cut the elastic off of the other two mice and he has continued to play with it with no more mishaps. I would definitely buy another one.

I have a full grown Husky who loves squeaky toys, and he LOVES his magic hat. Took about a week until he ripped the elastics out of the bottom of the hat, but that didn't actually damage the hat at all, and he still loves playing it. And Now we can play with just the rabbits.

My little peke LOVES this dog though it's almost as big as he is. He spends hours tugging at the little rabbits. Great toy.

I own a pit bull mix, and he was not as excited by the hat as he is with the platypus or the hide-a-squirrel. I discovered that the real problem is that his nose can't fit into the opening as well. He LOVES the squirrels and platypus though. But, I gave the bunnies in the hat to my parent's 35lb spaniel and she just loves pulling the bunnies out and playing with the trying to get them off the string. So in the end, great interactive dog toy, but not the best choice for larger breeds. Probably good for a puppy, too. All three toys have held up to my destructo pit bull, which is impressive. I do try to retrieve the toys when he's in a tear things up mood though. Still, the toys have survived about six months now.
