5.0 out of 5 stars very different from the sydney DVD but still great
i, like many others, knew and loved the sydney DVD first. that show is incredibly upbeat throughout, w/ kylie clearly having a blast and everything is very extrovert. the goal for this concert was to match the fever album, and have a more "cool" and technological aesthetic. the result is less "fun" and less immediately catchy than the sydney show, but after i got used to...

2.0 out of 5 stars Kylie Is Better Than This DVD
Coming near the end of a two year whirlwind of recording and touring, it is no surprise Kylie does not have much energy left. This DVD shows that. If you own her CDs, there is no need to spend more money on this.
If you want a SHOW, get the DVD 'Live In Sidney(On a Night Like This)'. Kylie has energy in Sydney.

i, like many others, knew and loved the sydney DVD first. that show is incredibly upbeat throughout, w/ kylie clearly having a blast and everything is very extrovert. the goal for this concert was to match the fever album, and have a more "cool" and technological aesthetic. the result is less "fun" and less immediately catchy than the sydney show, but after i got used to the concept i found that i loved this concert just as much. although i think it's too bad kylie does less dancing (she's a great dancer!), it does a good job of giving a more sophisticated feel.

the show is divided into seven distinct sections. the first has kylie w/ a team of "cyborgs", and the opener, "come into my world", is just fantastic. the 2nd is based on a clockwork orange, then comes a medley of ballads (w/ kylie in a gorgeous black dress), then a more urban section, then a sexy section (w/ an absolutely great reworking of locomotion), then a clubby section (w/ "limbo" and a great, great, great new version of "lucky"). the encore section includes a sort of native american/tribal kylie on a platform covered by a huge dress, and then ends w/ kylie solo doing "can't get blue monday out of my head". kylie's vocals are strong and her live performance is always engaging; her band is first rate; the set, costumes, and camerawork are great; the projections are generally good (esp. the GBI ones which have kylie in a pink japanese-style wig and are just fantastic); and her dancing is less pop-style, but generally fits the music well. also, the setlist is a good mix of recent singles and less familiar tunes, including a lovely version of "the crying game".

this edition is great b/c it includes a lot of bonuses, including a section of the digital projections from the concert for 4 songs, a documentary, an audio CD of most of the highlights from the show (sadly the "lucky" remix isn't here, but it's on the digital projections), a digital version of the tour book, and a photo gallery. all in all this is a great release, and the extras are totally worth it if you're a fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars I've got the Fever!!, August 2, 2011

This review is from: Kylie Minogue: KylieFever2002 (DVD)
This concert is amazing and Kylie is at the top of her game. This concert is just sheer fun from beginning to end, and vocally I think one of her strongest next to The Showgirl Tour. Every fan should get there hands on this concert plus if your lucky maybe you could find the limited edition with the silver case that comes with the bonus cd version of the concert(No it's not the whole concert but it has 14 out of 22 tracks so most is on there). Check it out!

5.0 out of 5 stars Kylie's got the Fever from a big Kylie Fan!, December 8, 2002
This review is from: Kylie Minogue: KylieFever2002 (DVD)
Well what can I say, a stunning performance as always by the Princess of Pop,Kylie Minogue. She sings lots of songs from her past to the present and the stage setting was brillient and I loved the lighting and the chandeliers etc projected on a large screen. One point I must make and that is about the documentary, section 3 on the dvd of the documentary makes a grating noise, apart from that the dvd is a must have for all fans of Kylie and you must have it in your collection.

Buy this today on DVD/Video you will be glad you did and you wont be bored

Kylie is a world class performer and singer. This DVD is OK, but does not show her at her best.
