Just to set the record straight, this disc was originally titled "Impossible Princess" but due to the death of Princess Diana it was changed to "Kylie Minogue". Even though her previous effort was ALSO titled "Kylie Minogue". So to make a long story short, the 1993 release has a white cover and this one has a black cover. You may still be able to obtain a copy with the original title. Tracks like "some kind of bliss" and "cowboy style" are unbelievably catchy and unlike anything Kylie Minogue has ever recorded. At first listen you would swear this wasnt a Kylie disc. This disc is so much fun because you'd never think her to have recorded something like this and to have done it so well. Its a little rock, a bit techno and alot of Kylie. When i heard she took a break from pop music on this one i flinched not realizing that change is part of the growth process. If you like this one, also pick up her previous disc also called "Kylie Minogue".

This album is definitely the best of Kylie's bests. Everybody must have a copy of this one, this truly is the bomb.

Impossible Princess is by far Kylie's best album, overshadowing most candy-pop stuff she's ever done (even today) with some clever, often meaningful and sensible pop. Very creative and varied with rock, dance, jazz and trip-hop influences, and finally a proof that the australian is not just a mindless singer.
