This peeler works very well - easy to handle, well angled and comfortable.

The swinging blade nearly finds its own perfect peeling angle once you learn how to handle it and the variances of the material being peeled.

Goes thru softer fruit skins like butter, peels potatoes faster than anything else.

This thing is great! I bought it along with a Mango seed remover/slicer thing and it really takes the work out of preparing them. It's almost fun to do, and a whole lot faster and less waste than a knife. It's really sharp and it will peel the hell out of anything.

I bought this item with reserve. After trying on large russet potatoes the blade just sailed through the skin and made the job quick and easy. Being left-handed didn't cause any problem in the operation either. It worked for me.

I expected this thing to be junk and was shocked when it worked so well! Only caveat is to be careful when peeling--it easily nicks fingernails and your palm if you aren't being careful. Love it!

Is super sharp and makes such thin peels. I love this peeler for large veggies. Makes short work of Eggplant, zucchini, etc. Too large for small carrots and the like. This is the first ceramic blade I have owned and I am impressed so far. Will be interesting to see how it holds up.

This thing is extremely sharp and peels just about anything. Repeated washing in the dishwasher will degrade the plastic though. The blade piece separated from the "Y" in my previous peeler. Will be handwashing this one from now one.

This will peel soft fruits like Kiwi and even ripe tomatoes if you are patient and learn to let it do the work and start the cut. The swinging blade nearly finds its own perfect peeling angle once you learn how to handle it and the variances of the material being peeled. It is my favorite peeler.

Caveats --

1) The ceramic blade is fragile and will nick or break if not protected.

2) Flush the blade clean, do not wipe it or tap it to knock off wet stuck on peels. If you wipe it you risk a severe cut, if you tap it you risk breaking or chipping the ceramic blade.

3) Use with attention and caution until you get the feel of it. Otherwise all you will feel is a good clean slice into your own hand.

Bought this and the Kyocera vertical peeler at the same time. Both are great, and the wife loves them. They're much better than the peelers we already had and had been using for several years. Sharp!

It's crazy sharp but the little brackets that hold it in place and swivel can easily be broken when a thicker rind is being peeled. See my full review of the black version.
