Offered in 5 new colors, these sleek, ultra-sharp knives are designed to complement-not compete-with traditional cutlery. The Revolution series is designed for slicing fruits, vegetables and boneless meats. Kyocera ceramic cutlery is typically half the weight of equivalent knives. Perfectly balanced, this lightweight tool becomes a comfortable extension of the hand, reducing fatigue during repetitive cutting tasks. Ceramic does not absorb food elements, allowing just a quick rinse and wipe with a kitchen towel. Hand wash or dry with kitchen towel. This hardness translates into a rock-like edge that will not roll like conventional blades. Advanced ceramic blades stay razor-sharp 10 times longer than conventional steel blades, including high carbon steels. As a result, it will never alter the taste, smell or appearance of food.

This is the sharpest knife I have ever used. And I use good German and Japanese steel knives. It is so sharp it is dangerous if you are not careful. If you play with it like an inept clown and drop it and chip the blade, you might give it one star. But if you know your way around the kitchen, it is five star for sure.

I use it for fruits and vegetables only. It is light and very sharp, doesn't stain, easy to wash. It was amazing to discover that I could slice a large juicy tomato while holding it in my hand, with no juice lost! I keep it in a drawer in the original plastic container: it sits there firmly and is easy to pull out. I strongly recommend it for those who can limit it's use to gentlier jobs. Very happy with the purchase!

I can't keep a steel knife sharp to save my life, so this relatively inexpensive ceramic one is perfect for me.

Love this knife
This is not my first Kyocera knife and I will probably buy more. They are easy to hold and amazing to use. The colored handles make it easy to find the one I want quickly.
