A beautiful Bible,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kyrgyz Bible (Complete Bible in the Kyrgyz Language (Kodaj Sozu)) (Hardcover)
This is a beautiful Bible in the Kyrgyz (or Kirghiz) language of Central Asia. It contains the 66 books of the Protestant canon, with the General Epistles preceding the Pauline ones. Aside from the question of how to say "Old and New Testaments"--see http://forums.thinkingbaptists.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1766--the text appears to be identical with that found in the online Kyrgyz Bible. But this version is beautifully bound, with color maps of Bible lands on the endpapers and with a concise but intriguing set of Bible Helps following Revelation. I particularly enjoyed the explanation of the length of a cubit. I know essentially no Kyrgyz, but then I didn't buy it for myself. I trust the young Kyrgyz men who've been coming to our church will get more out of it than I ever could...
