Made with a strong spring handle that makes it easy to move around the fret board without the strings going out of tune,
like some capos I've had in the past. The Kyser capo will work with any electric guitar, I use it with my Fender Telecaster
placing it on the second fret and also, moving down to the fourth fret depending on which Rolling Stones, Keith Richards
songs I'm playing at the time. With Just one hand, I easily make the switch between frets without having to retune. Works great every time. The strings ring out clear without sounding muffled like some other capos I had. I've also used it on my
Gibson SG and also get the same great results. Now I can play open chords anywhere along the fret board that I choose
to move the capo to. Can't go wrong with this capo, and the back of the guitar neck won't get marred or scratched, thanks
to the thick pad. The part of the capo that goes over the strings covers all six strings easily with hard rubber pad that
won't damage the fret board while holding down the strings firmly without shifting the string spacing or stretching the strings out of tune. Best capo I ever owned! And the price can't be beat!

I don't play guitar, but I'd burned through 3 other capos by different manufacturers for my ukuleles, some were even labeled "for ukulele" or "for ukulele and mandolin." Regardless they all pulled my ukuleles dramatically out of tune and were a pain to put on and take off.

For some reason, this one doesn't pull my ukes out of tune. I have an Applause/Ovation Soprano uke, a Lanikai Concert, and a custom Tenor electric uke (prety close to an electric guitar) and the Kyser Capo works beautifully on all of them. The spring on the Kyser Electric Guitar Capo is, apparently, the perfect tension: not difficult to put on or take off of the instrument, and not so tense that it pulls the strings horribly out of tune.*
*Yes, I know. All capos will pull strings out of tune a bit. But this one works wonders.

Anyway, I can't praise this capo enough. For a ukulele player, this is it!

It definitely has less tension than an acoustic guitar capo, but still I find myself having to put this capo on top of the fret instead of immediately before it. It is much small than most capos, which helps because it's taking up less space on the fret board........this is especially helpful since I'm putting it directly over the fret. Overall, not a bad capo.

It grips great, and the rubber strip heals itself quickly. I've had no problems with it at all. I would buy this again.

It has a strong spring and clamps on tightly. Also has a soft rubber pad on the underside to protect the guitar.
