This complete edition comes on 4 discs. It includes everything; the suits, the cases, the weapons, preorder content, and items that were console exclusive. There are no DLC codes to use, as everything is included on the discs.

One thing I did find out is that this edition is *not* compatible with game saves from the regular edition disc. If you have previously played the game using the regular disc, do not expect to continue your game save with this new complete edition. You will have to start over, on everything.

Please comment if you have questions, thanks!

For any of you looking for a cop game where you're always in a car chase, shootout, or fist fight, don't get this game. Of course you will have the opportunity every now and then for such things. This is a different kind of game. You're not just a cop, you're a detective. You will be called to a crime scene after math. You will have to examine the crime scene for evidence. Then you'll have to talk to witnesses. You must be able to determine if the people you're questioning are lying or telling the truth.

So here are a few helpful hints for CSI (crime scene investigation)

1. Examine every crime scene thoroughly. This is a MUST! When there is a dead body, look at every body part the game allows you to: the head, both hands, and look in their pockets.

2. Pay attention to the evidence that the cops mark! They're usually marked by mini stands with numbers on them.

3. Pick up everything that can be picked up. Not everything in a crime scene will be relevant (and Cole Phillips will even say as much). But do it anyways! Also, pay attention to the music and the vibrations of your controller. Your controller will vibrate and chimes will play if you pass by a clue, whether its relevant or not.

4. Sometimes it's helpful to return to the crime scene after going someplace else. One of your potential suspects might be trying to tamper with evidence or cover up something.

5. As a last resort, use an intuition point to find all the clues in a crime scene. Key phrase here is LAST RESORT. Those intuition points are very helpful for interrogations.

And now we get to interrogation. Interrogating witnesses/suspects is the trickiest part of the game. You will have 3 options each time someone gives a response: truth, doubt, or lie.

L.A. Noire oozes with 1940's style, from the costumes to the music to the setting. There are numerous references to the infamous "Black Dahlia case" of Elisabeth Short, and the acting is spot on with a lot of familiar television and b-movie actors. It doesn't hurt that this edition contains all of it; every single case, including the DLC missions added into the story so they don't break the overall flow of the game. Nicely done. The new facial capture technology looks great in action, even though it tends to give a feeling of disconnection between the body and head sometimes.

You should be warned though; this is a clever and thorough game, and I'd venture to say it's not really for the casual player. If you enjoyed Mafia II or Red Dead Redemption, it doesn't necessarily mean this is a game for you. You're assigned a case, you go out on location to search for clues, based on the clues you hold interviews, which ultimately ends up in a conviction or a shootout. If you're not patient enough and don't really use your skills of memory and deduction, the game will be quite hard and unforgiving. You can only back out of a question if you're accusing someone of lying, and when you replay a case, you have to replay the entirety of it, and the first cutscene (however long) can't be skipped. There are small hints as to what you might do next, but nobody throws you any favours here, it's largely up to you how to play it. That makes for a very amibitious but annoying game, when one missed clue or wrong question during a 90-minute case can break your stats.

My wife got this for me for Christmas - only she bought it cheaper at Best Buy. Sorry Amazon. She did buy the regular edition at Amazon but then bought the expanded one later. She plans on giving this one as a gift in the future instead of returning it to Amazon. I think this is a great game. I usually play War-type games so this was a nice divergance. I would say it is geared for adult players because the action is not as intense. The language can be pretty rough but certainly no more than the Call of Duty series. The hardest part for me is controlling the vehicles that you have to drive. My wife hates video games but I caught her watching this game as I played. Giving me advice on some of the detective work. The graphics are amazing. Realistic. I like that you can read the transcripts (log) while you are playing. I wasn't paying attention to everything being said by witnesses and it comes back to bite you in the butt if you don't. The log helps scroll back and read their comments. It is not one of those loud games. So far I have only had to use my gun once at a bank robbery. It is an addictive game. It can be frustrating if you give wrong answers because the scene starts over again until you get it right. You get more benefits by getting it right the first time.
Awesome game!
