4.0 out of 5 stars Great quality, annoying logo placement
Nice product, great quality.

I HATE their annoying triangular logo which is sewn onto the heel. Yes, they have sewn their logo right where one's heel comes down on the logo and so it can be felt and is very irritating.

I'm going to have to figure out how to cut out this raised logo without messing up these slippers.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not very durable
This item was not very durable. After only a couple months the suede started to wear and rip open almost like it rotten. Pieces of it tear off easily and I now have big holes. They are also very bulky and heavy for a slipper. Unfortunately its too late for me to return it. I will think twice before ordering this brand again.

L.B. Evans needs to wake up that the reason that we are buying these is because of quality but also comfort.

Without the raised logo these would earn my top rating.

Most likely the next time that I buy any L.B. Evans slippers I will see where they've placed their logo patch.

Purchased these for my husband, who is not ordinarily a slipper person, but he likes them a lot, and they were a good deal through amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars A slipper that lasts!!!! Finally!, December 26, 2009

I wear these slippers every day when I am indoors at home. I became very frustrated buying slippers, especially the cheaper ones because they would not last! Give them a few months of daily use and they would wear out, or fall apart.

My first pair I purchased from amazon is still going strong (purchased in April of 2007) but I just ordered another pair for when these wear out. Slippers that can survive three years of daily use is great, especially considering the price (price is actually a little less than it was three years ago!)

Things that make these great:
1) The suede leather has held up fantastic - this is not the thin stuff that you can wear holes through
2) The edges are rolled for extra durability
3) Stitching has held up perfectly
4) Soles are not coming unglued/detaching
5) While the heel is suede, the inside of the slipper is a soft polyester - this does a nice job of keeping your feet from getting sweaty and stinky (my slippers still don't stink)
6) It is very easy to actually slip on and off - I hate slippers that you have to put on, all slippers should "slip" on.
7) Keeps my feet warm, but not TOO warm like lambskin slippers do - because of this I wear the same slipper all year round

Things that they could have done better:
1) There really isn't much padding - if you plan to do a TON of walking around, there might be better options
2) The inner lining of the slipper is the least durable, if there is any wear on my slipper, it is there
3) As another poster has said, the triangle logo on the slipper is annoying at first. Now that mine are worn in, I cant even feel them there.

Overall, this is a very durable, basic, well constructed slipper. If that's what you are after, you will love this!

I purchased a pair of these because I really life scuff slippers, something I can get into easy and kick off when I go to bed. I had a pair of another brand that was 20 years old but the leather sole had worn out. Much to my delight these have a thin rubber sole, so I can even wear them when I shuffle out to get the newspaper in the morning. When I come home at night these are the first things I slip on. I liked them so much when I got them, that I immediately bought a second pair. I like my slippers rather large. I wear a size 10, and while a size 10 fit OK, they just didn't give me that loose sloppy comfortable feel I wanted so I opted for a size 11 which are perfect. I also like that my feet don't sweat in these, I can't stand slippers that have the fluffy sheep lining, these have a lining that is like a flannel material, even though I think they call it fleece.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bought them for my husband and he loves it!, October 13, 2010

Great price for such a comfortable pair of indoor slippers. I was wary of another reviewer's comment about the triangular logo that's stitched exactly where the heels will be resting on. But I'm glad my husband said it was perfectly alright and he didn't think of it at all. Since he wears it daily and likes it, I consider it money well spent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delivered as pictured, January 27, 2008
This review is from: L.B. Evans Men's Houston Scuff Slipper (Apparel)
I'm very happy with my purchase. I bought a similar slipper a couple of years ago by Uggs. However the fleece lining was too much for me.
This slipper is similar, except with a rubber sole and flannel lining.
Delivery was fast(actually faster then told when ordered)
Item ran very true to size.
