Comfortable like an old friendship,

I've always preferred leather scuffs for their ease, comfort and looks, and these score high on all three counts. They are handsome, soft and supple, and well made.

Evans open back men's slipper,

This review is from: L.B. Evans Men's Duke Scuff (Apparel)
Pros:
*Comes in wide and large sizes that are difficult to find *Conforms to your foot quickly *Open back makes slipper airy Cons: *Linen wears out quickly by toe and ball areas *soles wear out quickly if you go outside to fetch your newspaper or to bring out your trash can(s) Bottom Line: *If you have an odd size foot, you have little to no choice elsewhere *If you are looking for durability and have a usual size foot, this is not for you

LB Evans slippers are allergic to any drop of water,

Although very comfortable, the "Black Leather" description of this product is misleading, since it is "black painted". When in contact with any, even minimal, amount of water, it looses black paint which will be quickly absorved by a rug or carpet ....

Disappointing in many ways,

Where do I begin? First, I ordered EEE width (wide) and followed the suggestion to order a half size larger than normal. The slippers are much too narrow. As a diabetic, that is a major problem. Maybe feet are narrower in China where these over-priced slippers are made! Second, the padding in the heel is not very comfortable. Third, the bottoms are really not non-skid. Etc. Not recommended at any price!

These scuffs were exactly what I was looking for. They are nice looking and comfortable. All at a decent price.

Nice slippers, but run small. Bought for my husband at a size 14, did not fit him but fit my son who wears a 13-13.5

I've been wearing L. B. Evans moccasin-style slippers & drivers around the house for at least 20 years. They're fine in the cooler months, but way too warm for April-November. I have comfortable flip-flops, but for me an open toe is a stubbed toe just waiting for that perfect moment of distraction near an ideal object into which to slam itself.
This scuff-style slipper seemed like it might be comfortable to wear around the house in the warm months. While looking through the size/color options, I found a pair that are a full size larger (12M) than I would normally order and that were about 60% off the regular price (discontinued color). After reading the other reviews here, this looked like a good deal. They arrived today, and I can confirm that they do still run small. My feet are slightly different sizes. The left slipper is a pretty good fit, but the right one is a little tight. Given what I paid, I'm willing to hold onto them with the hope they will stretch out a little over time. If I had paid full price, I would probably exchange them for a 12EEE pair. My previous experience with the durability of L. B. Evans slippers has been good. I replaced them every 3-5 years and even then would box up the old pair and stash them in the guest-room closet at my mother's house for use during my visits (3-4 days, several times a year). They were usually 8-10 years old before finally heading into the trash. Things change, of course; I will try to update this review if I have any quality or durability issues.

Even though I ordered these 1/2 size larger than normal for my boyfriend, they were too narrow. He ended up returning them.

Nice appearance, but too small for the size. I ordered size 11, which is my husband size, and it was really too small. He could not use them.

I purchased it three years ago and used it lightly (is it one of several pairs of slipper I've been using). It started to come apart. For the price I paid I have expected somewhat better quality.
