being a beginner and not knowing anything about fly fishing, I thought this was a great book to start with because it covered it all.

Trout fisher learns about bass,
This review is from: L.L. Bean Fly Fishing for Bass Handbook, 2nd (Paperback)
I already had this book,as a present from a friend. I enjoyed it so much and learned a lot about the differences between trout and bass fly fishing that I bought this copy for another good friend. I would recommend this to anyone wishing to get more knowledge and hopefully skills related to fly-fishing for bass. Dave Whitlock never disappoints.

I have been fly fishing, off and on, since I was about 15 years old. Never have been trout fishing, and have always been pan fish (bream) and some bass fishing.
However, I have started really trying to go after some fairly large bass in my community lakes and maybe start some river fishing for them. So, I ordered the book hoping to get some good advice. Got that and more. Really good book that covers the basics as well as letting you have the use of his experience. Would easily recommend this. |
