Fly casting by book is a challenging undertaking for both author and reader, and so I'm typically skeptical about them. However, Mr. Lord and his photographer have done an outstanding job in communicating the essentials of the cast.
I am a reasonably experienced fly fisher. But I began to suspect I was developing some bad habits.

I took this book and went back to the fundamentals as explained by Mr. Lord and had immediate wonderful results.

Lord's explanations are the clearest I've come across, and his writing style is engaging and very clear.

I highly recommended this book to new and experienced casters. It will make a difference.
