I have been working with this product for quite some time. It is truly an amazing piece of equipment. No EST installer should be without this in their toolbox. It comes with 5 6' flourescent green push/pull rods. Also it comes with a bullnose (has a hole to feed wire through) which is great for fishing up or down insulated walls, and an Egg beater attachment which is extremely useful when fishing through drop ceilings. Each rod can be linked via the threaded ends to give you 30' to work with, plus... Here is a neat little trick I learned by accident. If you get yourself a nifty Blue LED flashlight... you can use it to locate these rods in dark areas... the blue light causes the rods to literally glow in the dark when you shine it on them. Talk about a time saver.

If you do residential or commercial electrical or low voltage/network wiring, this is the most indispensable tool for running wire in finished walls! The spiralled and molded design of the fiberglass allows it to bend where other standard non-spiralled sticks would break and splinter. This is one of my favorite tools and well worth the money!!! I highly recommend anything from Labor Saving Devices - their name says it all!

I can't say enough about this product. It has paid for itself twice over since I purchased it a couple of months ago. Faster and easier than a gopher pole or cable tossing. I primarily use it for under raised flooring and the glow in the dark green tip definitely helps. It has no problem with existing conduit, grounding wires or existing Cat 5/6 or video cabling. Make sure you tighten the connections when you put the pieces together. If you are a little off when aiming for your target and as long as the glow in the dark tip is touching the floor, then just twist the rod in the direction you want to turn it will roll over in that direction and get you back on track.
