Less Expensive Alternative to Other Systems,

This review is from: CE LABS 1001ST Stereo Agile RF Modulator (Electronics)
I installed the Channel Plus 3025 All-in-One Multiroom Video Distribution System with Dual Input Modulator in my house four years ago, and although expensive to purchase all the components necessary to take advantage of all it offers, and difficult to install, I have been very happy with it. However, I recently wanted to use a similar system with another cable box, and the CE Labs Modulator proved to be an easier-to-install and less expensive alternative, plus it has some advantages over the Channel Plus system: This modulator transmits MTS stereo sound, whereas the Channel Plus modulator required purchasing addition components. In addition The CE Labs modulator will likely require running fewer coaxial cables since the "combiner" is not built into the modulator, and therefore has more location flexibility . If you wish to combine the output from this modulator with other analog channels, this CHANNEL PLUS 2532 2-Way Splitter/Combiner (CHANNEL PLUS 2532) will do that equally well; but just like the Channel Plus system, you will usually need to use a filter, like this Channel Plus NF-469 Low-Pass Filter for Channels 64 to 70 or this Notch Filter, Blocks CATV 70-74, depending on the channel number that you wish to assign to the modulator.
The biggest disadvantage of the CE Labs modulator is that it does not include a built-in remote control extender system. However, I have found that the Next Generation Remote Control Extender is an excellent alternative. Although this modulator only generates one channel, one channel was all I need. Consequently, I am also very pleased with the CE Labs Modulator...the quality of both the sound and picture are excellent.

Installed the Modulator yesterday and so far am very happy. We were using a higher end VCR to distribute our video around the house. The CD Labs 1001ST, having stereo sound that seems to have greater sound range and the picture is better as well.
About the only con could be somewhat limited documentation to explain channel 69 air coming in as 125 on the TV.

I used this Modulator to send a Dish Satellite Receiver output to multiple televisions through my house. It is extremely easy to install and select a TV channel to be used for it's output. The reception on all the TV sets is not degraded.
