If you are interesting in the Hudson River School, this is a good addition to your library now that this volume is available at a low price in 2006. Mignot was a friend and rival of Frederic Edwin Church, with whom he traveled to Ecuador in 1857. This volume covers his travels to Europe as well as South America, in fact, there is a complete catalog of his works with small b&w pictures in the back. There are a good number of nice color plates as well.
