Minor point of interest: Like some of the other reviewers, I too received a chrome-colored part. Otherwise identical to the pictured item, it is a different color/finish. Not a problem for me, but could be for some.
I ordered a replacement portable dishwasher hose set and modified it to connect my SS wort chiller.
I also have several snap connector to garden hose adapters used to connect my bottle rinser, carboy wand, fill hose and with this adapter my faucet mount water filter.
Use it to put an aerator on a laundry wash tube or out door faucet just remove for winter.
