5.0 out of 5 stars Great, dynamic fan
This is a great fan. The top head can be positioned about 45 degrees away from the lower one for multiple users. There are three settings accessed by pressing the power button for high, medium, and low. The one other button is an oscillation button. Works right out of the box, and is fairly quiet, especially on its lower settings. Stands about the height of a computer...

3.0 out of 5 stars Would not buy in again.
It's quiet, but sometimes when you first turn in on, it has a bad plastic smell. Also you have to push the button really hard to turn it off. It requires 2 hands, one to hold the fan from falling over. Just to turn it off.

Works right out of the box, and is fairly quiet, especially on its lower settings. Stands about the height of a computer screen. I enjoy it on hot summer days, or after i have been sweating from exercise.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good fan, June 13, 2008
I bought this fan for a co-worker that had a loud annoying little fan. This is nice and quiet (unless on the high power can be a little noticable). Doesn't blow papers around and gives a nice cool breeze. Its a little tall, about 1 foot, so it can be obstructing if you are sitting in a cube with low walls.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product, June 1, 2008

The Platinum Desktop Wind Tower provides a cool blast of air at the touch of a button. The fan is strong enough to cool but does not blow papers off the desk. It fits in a small space on the desk. The on/off, power level and movement buttons are intuitive. It has worked reliably. The price in the twenty dollar range is a bargain. I highly recommend Platinum Desktop Wind Tower for anyone who needs cool air at their desk.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for toddler rooms!, July 17, 2008
This review is from: LASKO 4910 Platinum Desktop Wind Tower Fan
I purchased this for my 19 month old daughter's room, it's self contained so I don't have to worry about little fingers :) Helps with the air flow in her stuffy bedroom, and the pivoting top is excellent, it's like have two fans going in different directions.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother, March 23, 2009
This review is from: LASKO 4910 Platinum Desktop Wind Tower Fan
This would be a really great little fan at a terrific price except that after a couple of hours while oscillating (at any fan speed) it makes a grinding sound as it reaches the end of the turns. We returned one already only to have the second one, which will also be returned, do the same thing. Will not bother wasting more time and gas on getting a third one.

This review is from: LASKO 4910 Platinum Desktop Wind Tower Fan
I've had 2 of these now. The first one worked for about a year then started making horrible noises and eventually died. The second one was loud from day one and half the time wouldn't turn on. Why 2 you ask? My mother gave me the second one as a gift.

Save your money. They're made from cheap plastic and not worth the cash.
