I have read almost every Pike book, even the really strange ones (that seem to have become more and more available in the last couple of years), and I think he's a wonderful author. I adored all of the Last Vampire books, especially this one.However, didn't anyone else get depressed at the end...

I really enjoyed this book. I was cheering for Alisa when she fought with Eddie Fender. I cried when she lost Ray. Alisa's yearning to become human is sad and haunitng. At the end of this book she is a scared and vulnerable human. I can't wait to see what happens next.
