This product worked much better than I thought it would. Little hesitant because not a lot of reviews on this but I was installing over 1,000 sq ft so it was worth the $50 gamble. I was amazed at how easily this thing sliced through the laminate. It doesn't give you a smooth edge but that doesn't really matter because the edge will be covered by the baseboards.

Looking at the picture you get the idea that the top part you push down on is the cutting edge. Not the case. The cutting edge is on the bottom part under the board.. There are actually two jagged cutting edges on the bottom about 1/2 mm apart. The top dull blade lines up between the 2 bottom cutting edges. When lining up your cut, make sure the cutting line is between the 2 cutting edges before pressing down the top blade.

Works great! Very satisfied. Does a quick job and is very handy. Great for smaller weight laminate. If you use heavier laminate - get the big brother which is heavy duty. This one is perfect for smaller floors and lighter/medium weight laminate. Finished a 10x10 floor in about 2 hours. It is a great price too - if you get it for under $50 like I did!

The product works as advirtized. I expected that it would require quite a bit of an effort to cut the laminate and was pleasantly susrpised that it was not that hard.
