Not impressed, November 20, 2007
When I first got it I thought it looked pretty cool, but quickly realized that this is a very cheap phone. It requires 3 AA batteries and seems to chew through them pretty quickly. The talking caller ID is kind of nice, but when another phone is in use, the phone picks up voice as numbers and just randomly speaks them out. It's very annoying. With this phone you get what you pay for. I would not get this phone again, even if it was free.

Looks good, but nothing else is, August 9, 2008
This phone looks cool, and appears to have great features. However, it does not come with instructions, and the computer circuitry is terrible and very quickly loses the date, and there is no way to reset it (yes, new batteries were tried, to no avail). In addition, as the computer malfunctioned, the speakerphone and other buttons stopped working. If you want a paperweight, but not a telephone, this is probably a good buy; otherwise, this is a piece of junk.

Attractive but overly complicated and ultimately junk phone, January 12, 2009
This review is from: LCD Phone with Talking Caller ID (Sports)
I picked up one of these for $10 at my local Harbor Freight Tools. It was intended for my 77 year old Mom to use so she could hear who was calling without having to get out of bed. When I think of caller ID I think of the phone service that indicates who is calling and their phone number. This phone only gives you the phone number part of caller ID. OK when friends are calling but not strangers or perhaps the family doctor and you aren't familiar with the phone number. To be fair, for $10 I guess all they could afford was a chip that speaks just 10 numbers (0 to 9). It was also VERY hard to set up. The instruction manual is just 4 tiny print pages and very obtuse. Also, when programming it you get only a few seconds between button pushes or you have to start all over again. Try reading the tiny print, obtuse instructions while pushing buttons through the menu tree on limited time and I think you get the picture. Another bad is that it only runs on 3 AA batteries...no AC adapter or running of the phone line juice. I think this one is going to be returned.
