5.0 out of 5 stars Budget gloves: Great product for the low price.
I was looking for budget motorcycle gloves, and these were exactly what I was looking for.
For the price, they seem capable of doing the job: light duty use in cooler weather. They look great coming out of the bag. Construction is adequate, but time will tell.
For frequent use in cold weather these gloves aren't adequate, but for light duty/cool weather, the...

i bought these gloves so i could have my own gloves while taking a motorcycle safety course. i wore the gloves for 4 hours on a Saturday and another 4 hours on a Sunday. I found several problems with these gloves:

1. the fingers were too short. i usually wear a size large and these were size large.

i bought these gloves so i could have my own gloves while taking a motorcycle safety course. i wore the gloves for 4 hours on a Saturday and another 4 hours on a Sunday. I found several problems with these gloves:

1. the fingers were too short. i usually wear a size large and these were size large.
2. while the gloves do have a few mesh vents, these gloves do not breath. my hands were drenched in sweat.
3. sweat evidently causes the black pigment in the gloves to come off and stain the hands. the black pigment has a higher affinity for human skin than for the gloves as it would not come off my hands, even with soap and water.
4. in the safety course it was mentioned that good motorcycle gloves should not have their seams on the inside, as they will rub against the skin causing irritation. these gloves have most of the seams on the inside.
5. after wearing the gloves for a total of 8 hours, they were rags and my hands were a red, black, and raw mess.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cool for warm weather riding, but poor design leaves knuckles vulnerable, June 29, 2009

I was looking for a pair of gloves to use in warm weather, and these are good for that since the mesh allows lots of air through to keep the hands cooler. However, for motorcycle gloves, they're poorly designed - the leather on the fingers is cut opposite of where it should be, leaving the knuckles covered only by the mesh fabric, rather than protected by the leather. The grip side was more slippery than any other gloves I've used, and didn't feel secure on the grips. Also, after an hour of riding, some of the black dye transferred to my hands.

I really like the reviews that say "my motorcycle safety class guy said that the best gloves have seams on the outside." Guess what? These are not the best gloves money can buy. They are cheap and effective.
Same thing about not being able to pick up a quarter off the ground. That takes me a couple tries with my bare hands.
If you want gloves that are by themselves comfortable at all times and in all weather, really durable, maximum protection, dexterity feels better than your bare hands, etc., then you're gonna have to spend $300.00. (btw, if you own $300 gloves and aren't some kind of professional racer or a retired millionaire out with your wife on a six month Goldwing tour of the US, you're just a sucker. And if you are one of those two, you're awesome).
I do apreciate the comments about them running small. I got one size up from my usual and they're just a little big. Really they're just perfect b/c I like to put a pair of $1 knit gloves underneath for weather versatility during the day.
The gloves were a little itchy when I first wore them (without my 2nd pair), but that quickly wore off. With the gloves under, they're SUPER comfortable. The grip is perfect. Also love the big knuckle pads. I get hit with more rocks to my hands than you would believe.
All-in-all, for $15 this is a great pair of gloves.

Decent gloves for the price. Keeps my hands reasonably warm down to 45 degrees outside. Provides some padding on knuckles and fingers but don't expect it to keep your hands from getting bloodied in a crash.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a great buy. Can't beat this, November 23, 2011

Fits well and the mesh really keep ya hands breathing and from sweating. The wrist strap is good for keeping gloves tight and around sleeve.

Comfortable. That's the good side. (I don't have incredibly long fingers, so the complaints re: short fingered, did not apply)

I tried them on in my living room with the AC blasting, so it's not just the heat that causes the dye transfer. My hands were coated in black within seconds. I, however, did not have such a hard time soaping it off with warm water.

Overall, spend a few more dollars the first time rather than a few dollars, then more dollars later to replace them.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not what they seem, July 27, 2011

They look good on the screen but when you get them home, they are winter gloves, not motorcycle riding gloves. The worst part is I live in Hawaii so I can not even use them for winter!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent summer gloves, June 16, 2011
This review is from: LEATHER MESH GLOVES MOTORCYCLE BIKE GLOVE Black (Apparel)
These gloves are very cheap and they actually look exactly like the picture. The first thing I noticed about the gloves is the good air movement throughout the glove. I drove for 3 hours and my hands were not sweaty. They have excellent grip and price is amazing. I even bought one for my brother and he has no complaints so far.
