I have probably frostbitten my fingers 100 times over my lifetime. I needed something that will truly keep my fingers warm while walking the dog in sub freezing temps; both index fingers especially are always cold except during the summer. There were two styles of trigger finger mittens offered. These mittens here [ASN B002B93CVW] work extremely well but I have to give them 2nd place. That is because the trigger finger is leather and is always in the way which prevents them from sliding through the dog leash. I bought both styles because the price was great and I wanted to physically compare them. 1st place goes to ASIN B0036ZTDYA because the trigger finger is cloth and stows away into a nice little loop that is sewn on the top of the mitten. These slide through the leash nicely and is why they win the prize. Otherwise, they both perform great for warmth.

For an extra-super liner, I also purchased Fox River Double Ragg wool mittens from Amazon. This combination is fantastic for warmth!

Thanks,
MR

Purchased 2 sets. One for me and one for my son. We went on a January camp out for Boy Scouts and we had warm hands. A little bulky but very warm. I would recommend these for those who don't like cold fingers.

These gloves are amazing. Don't let the price fool you into thinking they are cheap. They are extremely well made and in medium size you will easily have plenty of room for the warm air to circulate. The liners that came with them are also very good quality and with the both together, your hand will stay warm.

Great for heavy heavy duty winter work. Some of the other ex military guys I work with don't use these for some reason. I see this as a great cheap and rugged solution for my needs.

I've got about a dozen pair of gloves, even a pair of wool glomitts, but nothing will keep my hands warm enough when shoveling all the "global warming" off my deck. I tried these as they seemed tough, durable and warm. So far, they've proven to be warm enough, but they are too bulky to get all four fingers through the handle of my shovel and the index finger, with the liner, is too tight. I'm hoping that with wear, they'll break in and the index finger will stretch a little. Those two issues were the only reason I gave them 4 stars rather than 5. I would definitely recommend them and buy them again.

Two more notes:
1. Just to make sure, I put two coats of Scotchgard on them before use.
2. They're roomy enough so, if necessary, you could drop one of those chemical heat packs in.

Normally I don't leave feedback but I will go out of my way when I find something I like. I purchased these gloves because I wanted something that would not restrict my hands like full mittens do and something warm. This year was the coldest winter in Wisconsin in quite some time and these held up great. I found that they work exceptionally well when using a chainsaw since my trigger finger was not incorporated with the rest of the glove. When I was cutting firewood it was 10 below zero outside and my hands were extremely warm with these on. Almost too warm. One of the best features is the cuff on them. They secure nicely over a bulky jacket so snow has no chance of entering the glove. As far as how the glove fits, I normally wear a size medium uninsulated leather work glove and these are slightly bigger but fit perfect. If you normally wear a large, I would get size large. Also, the wool mitten liners are a must have. Combining the two make them perfect cold winter gloves. I would definitely own another pair. For all you linemen out there like me, I also used a lineman rubber glove protector over these gloves for addend protection and warmth.

Used these gloves for a recent ice fishing trip (-20 degree mornings with 35 mph gusts). I've worn dozens, if not hundreds, of gloves and mittens over the years and these are really the best for the price.

Snowmobile to the lake and back, use all day, remove the liners at night to dry. I love the "trigger finger", very useful for all sorts of things that mittens just can't do. Extra space is provided in the mitten section for all 4 fingers for when it get's really cold.

For the ice fishermen out there, buy an extra set of liners and cut the finger tips off. Makes a GREAT bait/set combo, then switch over to the full-finger liners for the trip back.

Gave this as a gift to a family member that farms in the north east us. He suffered from frost bit and is susceptible to the cold.

He loves these gloves and nearly lived in them all winter where he spends 14 hours a day out side. Said the best part is that he has the dexterity of gloves but when his figure gets cold he can pull it into the mitten and warm it.

will buy him another pair this winter.
