4.0 out of 5 stars title for my review
Excellent high quality light. Perfect for any professional that needs a reliable, lightweight flashlight.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the slight blueish color of the light, the ad said a "white" LED. It is not a true white light and I was a bit disappointed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Led Lenser LL7736
I had previously bought one of these flashlights at Home Depot and was very satisfied with my purchase. When I went back 2 1/2 months later to buy another one they no longer have them. I went to 3 different Home Depots and a Lowe's and could not find it. I bought this one off this page on Amazon from Knife Of The World.I have to say I was rather disappointed.I guess the...

4.0 out of 5 stars Plenty bright with decent throw for an LED., September 2, 2006
This light has a lot of good qualities. The anodized aluminum casing is solid and the endcap houses the switch. It conludes full-on and momentary mode and it's pretty hard to accidentally leave it on. The LED is quite bright and runs well on the 3 AAA batteries. I like that it uses easily replaceable batts for emergencies. The triple As fit into a plastic insert and this is about the only thing that worries me about it's construction. The LED itself sits behind a thick clear plastic "lens" that helps with the light dispersment. Seems to run for quite a long time on the batteries while maintaining it's brightness. It has a decent throw, at 40' it's very useful and it's still okay at 60-70'.

All in all, quite solidly built and I've had no problems. It's a bit pricey, but seems to be of good quality. The o-ring on the back cap was broken, so had to be replaced, but I guess I can live with that. Mine came with a decent nylon sheath (better than most flashlight sheathes I've had), though I don't know if the model on Amazon has it included.

5.0 out of 5 stars After losing my first one - I bought a second to look for the first, June 30, 2009

I bought my first 7736 at Home Depot about a year ago to prepare for a hurricane. I didn't need it for the storm but since have used it almost everyday. It's light weight, very bright, and lasts a long time on three AAA batteries. I'm a reserve police officer and use it while on duty. It compares very close to the Streamlights and Surefires that the other officers use (no strobe function though). You can easily hold this light in your mouth if you need both hands for something.

Two weeks ago I lost my light while riding my motorcycle to work. I have searched the 7.5 miles of road between my home and office many times. I miss that light so much, I even considered putting up "Lost" posters.

Tonight I went by Home Depot to look at their flashlight selection and to my delight the still carried the Coast brand. My 8 year old son talked me into getting another 7736. Well, this new one is even better. It feels lighter, seems brighter, and the battery compartment is now permanently attached to the end/switch. No buyers remorse paying twice for such a great little flashlight.

I really wanted the T7 (8420) but needed a light by Saturday. This one will do great and only costs half of what a T7 costs. Perhaps I can use the new one to hunt for the missing one...

I had previously bought one of these flashlights at Home Depot and was very satisfied with my purchase. When I went back 2 1/2 months later to buy another one they no longer have them. I went to 3 different Home Depots and a Lowe's and could not find it. I bought this one off this page on Amazon from Knife Of The World.I have to say I was rather disappointed.I guess the LL in LL7736 model means low light because the one I had bought from Home Depot had a much stonger focused light. This one is weak compared to my original one. Everything else was the same just actual light was weak not strong at all. And the light was kind of blueish like another reviewer said.

5.0 out of 5 stars Coast V2 LED Lenser, November 6, 2011

I have gone through dozens of various flashlight over many years. Some were cheap and some were expensive. The V2 LED lenser is by far the best flashlight I have ever owned. It is extremely durable and dependable. I have dropped this light countless times, (several times from a 12 foot ladder). It continues to function.
The light is bright and the batteries last a long time.
The only "fault" I found is that it has no flat sides to to keep it from rolling away on an uneven surface.

I mounted this light on a home defense shotgun. I live on a farm and this light has got more range and a better pattern than the shotgun! It's such a great light that I bought another one just for general principles. I have lots of good flashlights but this is the one I grab when I'm serious. You won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Coast LED Lenser V2 Tactical Flashlight, March 17, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: V2 LED Lenser Power Chip Flashlight (Tools & Home Improvement)
The Coast V2 LED Lenser flashlight is small, lightweight, rugged, reliable, and very bright. It is powered by 3-AAA Alkaline Batteries (included), and uses a tail-cone push button on-off switch. The intense white light put out by it's single LED is not focusable, but doesn't need to be. The Manufacuturer claims a beam range of 180 meters (approx 200 yards). This isn't much of a stretch, as at 100 feet you can read street signs and house numbers, and under 10 feet it is so blinding it could be used as a defensive weapon! For the money (under $50 most places), it is the best flashlight available.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent flashlight, January 25, 2011
This review is from: V2 LED Lenser Power Chip Flashlight (Tools & Home Improvement)
I used to use a Maglite and mini-Maglite. Now I use this product because it is so small, lightweight but with a very bright focused light. I use it on my job inspecting buildings. It has a good solid feel - metal body.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super bright, high quality construction, November 17, 2010

I am very satisfied with this light. I had previously purchased a cheaper brand that *appeared* to be high quality -- name brand LED, solid aluminum body. The switch failed immediately. So, returned that one and got the Coast (which I really wanted in the first place!). Coast is a reputable manufacturer. This is a very well made piece of equipment -- solid machined aluminum body, gold contacts, lens reflector system for the Luxeon LED. It is actually a good deal at the advertised price compared to its very pricey competitors. Powerful beam -- I can easily illuminate the front of my neighbors house across the street, a good 200 feet away. This beam can damage your eyes -- be careful!

A few reviews on this site for this light complain that it uses AAAA batteries. This is NOT true. As stated in the description, it use 3 AAA batteries (comes with two sets). These are very easy to find.
