Very sad ending to my previous review 2 months ago. The LeD light, while using it on a timer for 14 hours a day simply stopped working. I was even more disappointed in the response from:

So my rating goes from a 5 star to a 1 star...

The 10 year life advertised on these LEDS is a bunch of crap.



My review couple of months ago:

I use this light with a 6 foot house plant which likes indirect sunlight and did well in a bright room with a large window facing south. The plant is now in a dark room a window facing north, 1 foot under this light and also using another LED 13 watt led bulb clamped on halfway down the plant. The plant has been under the LED lighting for almost 2 months and is actually doing better than when it was in the bright sunny room.

I agree with the other reviewer - it's a well constructed aluminum frame with mounting holes and puts out alot of pure blue light. In my application, I work in a mixing booth (Audio & video) for a live stage production. We used to have a florescent 40" light with a blue filter over it to use for our blue light source, and a white normal light for stage setup.

When the filtered florescent light blew out I replaced it with two of these modules which are thinner (about 1") and screwed right to the ceiling. One is over the audio section and one over the video section.

Having used them now I can honestly say the light comming from the mixing room into the auditorium is less noticable due to the directionality of the blue leds going straight down. This makes dark scenes on stage a tad darker because you dont notice the light from the old tube lamp + filter which scattered everywhere.

I'm sure there are more uses for this product - please post your experiences with it!

Notice this product description does NOT mention lumens. That is because the light is too dim. If you knew what the lumens were, you would think the price was far too high. Fluorescent lightbulbs put off more light than these panels.

LED is a great way for indoor growing, however these panels (I bought 6 and returned them all) are so low powered that you will not get good results. There are far more powerful ones on Amazon that cost more, but also offer far more light. Do not make the mistake of trying to do cheap LED. You will need to spend well over $100 per LED grow light panel that should last for at least a year. The UFO would be even better (if the failure rate was not so high).

Do it right or don't do it at all. Avoid these low light panels to save yourself frustration.

This product is weak on the quality level a pro is if you buy one and it does not work right Amazon has a super return policy. I would not suggest really buying this but if you want something to work for a month that looks great as a party light then you could go with this a a decent deal.

please read the other reviews before you waste your money, bought the marineland led lights for $40 dollars more
and double the light.

I assumed it would come with cable/chain attachment for hanging the lights.
Others show the same product with the necessary hanging set-up. However,
it was my fault for assuming lights would have these items.
