Notice this product description does NOT mention lumens. That is because the light is too dim. If you knew what the lumens were, you would think the price was far too high. Fluorescent lightbulbs put off more light than these panels.
LED is a great way for indoor growing, however these panels (I bought 2 and returned them all) are so low powered that you will not get good results. There are far more powerful ones on Amazon that cost more, but also offer far more light. Do not make the mistake of trying to do cheap LED. You will need to spend well over $100 per LED grow light panel that should last for at least a year. The UFO would be even better (I bought 4 of those and have no more frustrations). Do it right or don't do it at all. Avoid these low light panels to save yourself frustration.

I have many houseplants that suffer in the winter without supplemental light. Even though I have a few south facing windows, it's still gloomy where I live most of the winter months. The reason for the purchase, plant light. Stick a plant in the corner, give it some extra light...This product just does not cut it. I put a small (18'' tall-18'' diameter) jade plant under this light on a timer 16 hours on/8 off...The plant not only put on 0 new leaves after a 3-4 weeks it started dropping leaves, starved for light. As an experiment I put another jade on the same table under a simple fluorescent fixture. Granted the other plant got 2-15 watt light bulbs,(not 14 watts like the piece of junk I am reviewing) but it is over 3X as large. I am confident even if I had 2 of these leds on 24 hours my plant would not do any better. On the same timer the plant under fluorescent is thriving, putting on new leaves, growing vigorously. I have had these plant for years and know them well, this is no fluke, this led light is worthless. And at 3-5X the price of the old fluoros. My poor plant. I put the led away and the plant back in the window sill. I could ramble on more, but the title of my review says the way I feel. I wasted my money on this and am reviewing it in hopes no one else does.

Super low profile and very lite weight, this light did come with an American cord and is allot brighter then I expected. Covers a 1x1ft square area perfectly so is great for single plants. Im currently using one to grow peppers. I am able to put the lamp point blank without any burning or dying. I would only recommend this light for small plants, if you are wanting a LED light for bigger plants get at least a 45-50w led. A 45w+ led light will cover a 4ft area and give you a much faster vegetative growth.
Quand band all the way! If you have ever used a 14w r/b light you can expect 2-4x better results! Because this light is so small and lite you can easily grow plants in small cabinets, under the sink, or any small place you wouldn't be able to put traditional lights in. Because of no heat you dont have to worry about accidental fires that CFL or HID lights can cause. Other lights will provide warmth for your plant to thrive, these will not. You may need a heat pad or put the plant in a warm place because the plant will stay room temperature and it being winter now the cold can kill your plants even with light on it. Dont let the bad reviews scare you this light is GREAT for people who know how to use them.
