This light has amazing growing power. Unless a plant is outdoor rated, do not put an indoor-only plant within a meter of the light, or the plant will "burn".

If growing in a hydro tent, four lights in a 120x120 cm2 tent works wonders, as an outdoor equivalent. Note, the light is monochromatic. Consider getting a 90 watt 460nm-ish LED light to balance the spectra. Also note, the proposed 5 light system consumes 450 watts. However, this LED array has the growing power equivalent to a single 1,000-1,500 watt metal halide.

Caution: Do not look directly into the light. While the light looks dim, it is not. Looking directly at the light temporarily wipes out your red color recognition, for about thirty minutes. Looking into light results in everything looks unnaturally blue, like a Viagra commercial.

does anybody know where I can buy the replacement parts for my 90 watt LED UFO ? I can get them for 20$ but they need 2, so 40$ to fix these lights. Kind of expensive!

LED's should last 10 years or more in a grow system. They save you more than enough money in electricity over HID systems to pay for themselves which is why I am going to purchase another one right after my complaint here is finished. The problem is the power supply keeps going out and one day you'll notice half the LED's aren't lighting. Sure they send you out a free power supply to fix it, but if that doesn't solve the problem you are just out of luck. And they have virtually no warrenty for a product that should give you well over 10 years of service. For the prices we are paying we deserve a higher quality product and much better customer service. Having to pay to return an initially defective product is just not a good idea. They should get that cost back from the shoddy manufacturer, not pass it on to their customers.

These UFO's are good for veg, but they are still not quite up to par for bloom. You need to add some HID or florescent bulbs to get hard dense tight flowers. LED's really are the wave of the future so if they could just make them more reliable, able to live out the full potential of an LED bulb everyone would be buying them. The one I am buying today may show up initially defective, and at this price it is most likely a defective unit that was returned and refurbished with a new power supply. I do not mind if that is the case, I myself have switched out at least 3 power supplies, my problem is with the fact that they are so poorly made and I have to pay to send defective equipment back. Every bulb in my house is now LED and I have had problems with every single kind, but they are getting more reliable and the price is dropping.

my led ufo worked fine for about ten monthsl. Then one day only half my lights stoped working. took it apart to see if i could fix but no luck.. looked like a small fire inside the wires...

i bought this item on 6/25 on 10/28 half of the lights won't come on . i have tried to reach this seller and they haven't gotten back to me on 11/10... i will never use led wholesalers again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
