5.0 out of 5 stars The Dark Knight Returns
Batman Begins was a great movie, and the Dark Knight looks to follow suit. One of the best things about the franchise reboot was the emphasis on realism over style. The Tumbler Batmobile was great because it was a military vehicle first and would actually prove useful to Batman. Not to mention it's a friggin tank and looks awesome. 3.0 out of 5 stars Owning Lego 7888
Building the Tumbler and the Ice Cream van took me 2-3 hours. It was made easy with the bricks divided into separate numbered packs, which will help those who are much younger, or someone who have not worked on Lego for a while.

The Ice Cream van is a bit redundant since I only desire the Tumbler but having the Batman's arch nemesis, the Joker is a must...

The Tumbler Batmobile was great because it was a military vehicle first and would actually prove useful to Batman. Not to mention it's a friggin tank and looks awesome. So when Lego announced their own version of the Tumbler and Joker's Ice Cream Truck, it was a must buy. Difficulty is moderate to easy and the construction is solid. Kids should have fun building it and playing with them as toys after they're built. Great buy for kids and Batman fans alike.

The Ice Cream van is a bit redundant since I only desire the Tumbler but having the Batman's arch nemesis, the Joker is a must.

To sum up, it was enjoyable experience since it has been 15 years or more since I last toyed with a Lego set. I would recommend to both the young and mature Lego fans.

Yes! I am an adult or kidult (whatever the term coined at present is) Lego collector.

I bought The Tumbler: Joker's Ice Cream Surprise today, and I love it. The minifigures are detailed, and the vehicles are unique in design. The Joker's Ice Cream truck has a great colour scheme, the stickers are humorous, and the launcher works really well. The Tumbler is massive, with a creative frame and tons of detail that create a design true to the movies yet still fun to play with. Overall this is a great set.

This being my first Lego kit in about 20 years, I found it to be quite enjoyable to build. It's easy to assemble, has all relevant pieces for each stage of construction separated into four (...five?) different bags, and the instructions are laid out well and explained clearly. Both builds are sturdy and don't fall apart easily, though be aware that each model has a spring mechanism that fires a rocket a good distance and care should be taken around children.

My only nitpick with this set was a mis-colored piece in the instructions that led to some confusion and backtracking. Not a biggie, but it definitely led to some unnecessary frustration.

All in all though, this is a great set and one I'd recommend. Now on to the Millennium Falcon :)!

It was very fun getting to live out some childhood fantasies in building the batmobile. It's very authentic to the recent films and looks great on my desk.

Our child seems to be quite happy with the product. As a parent I can't help noticing that he gets much more Lego material in other Lego series.

If you can, use your Amazon card rewards. Maybe it's cheaper in stores? I'm guessing that it's not (because of the upcoming movie).

Bought this for 10 year old nephew. This was one of the "hot" items for Christmas 2008. Everywhere sold out and I was lucky enough to get one before they were all gone.

IF you can find one of these sets on an online auction source, GRAB it! This has got to be one of Lego's finest sets to date. The Joker's van shoots out a missile and the batmobile, well, it's just the coolest thing ever! It shoots missiles as well. If you have a younger child, they will need some adult assistance on this one. It's quite involved and takes a good 3 hours to build. But it's extremely durable and withstands hours of play without coming apart. Good thing too. I'm sure I do not want to have to start all over again putting it together! Highly recommend!

As with most lego sets of this type; once you put it together there isn't much to do with. The joker van is rather small compared to the Tumbler.
