5.0 out of 5 stars A cool rendition of the Jedi Starfighter
This is a great Lego set. The blue and white color combo works nicely on this set. Also, the Jedi Starfighter is very interactive. The cockpit opens, the wings move, the flaps on the wings move, and the landing gears can come down so you can set it on almost any surface. The starfighter also interacts with the Hyperdrive Booster Ring. There are two pieces on the ship...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not what I had expected.
I was duped. This item I ordered for my niece was supposed to be in its original box, with a booklet telling you how to build it, not in a cardbox box pre assembled already and with out the booklet to finish it. I give it a negative 50 out of a 10

5.0 out of 5 stars A cool rendition of the Jedi Starfighter, August 15, 2007

This review is from: LEGOŽ Jedi Starfighter™ with Hyperdrive Booster Ring (Toy)
This is a great Lego set. The blue and white color combo works nicely on this set. Also, the Jedi Starfighter is very interactive. The cockpit opens, the wings move, the flaps on the wings move, and the landing gears can come down so you can set it on almost any surface. The starfighter also interacts with the Hyperdrive Booster Ring. There are two pieces on the ship that slide into the ring and keeps it balanced in the middle. The booster ring itself is very detailed. In fact, it took hours to build, since every joint is held together by multiple parts. The ring ends up being very sturdy, and you can put in on a flat surface so it can stand on its own. It is sturdy enough to hold the starfighter as well when sitting on a flat surface. Overall, this is a great model, that was fun to build, and is one of the more interactive sets.

However, the Lego figures are not great. First, Obi-wan does not come with a lightsaber, which seems strange, since he has one in every other set. Secondly, the set comes with Kit Fisto. On the box, the figure looks great, with his grin and shinny green head. However, the actual figure is made of rubber, so it is not shinny at all. And his face does not look right when compared to the character on the box, and of course, in the movie. He does however, come with a green lightsaber.

Overall, this is a Lego set worth buying and building, even if the figures are not the best Lego has ever offered.

I have a lot of lego Star Ships and this one is more durable than most of them. Overall it was pretty easy to build. I like the way the star fighter hooks to the docking station. The docking station was the most difficult part to build. I really like the jedi's that came with it, Obi-wan Kenobi and Kit Fisto. I would recommend this product.

This is a very sturdy Lego model. There are pieces on the bottom of the starfighter that hook onto the booster ring and hold it on. Kitt Fisto comes with a light saber and Obi Wan does not but I do not mind. There are connector plates on the booster ring that hold onto the starfighter.
This is a great set and worth the money.

My son is 7 and this lego set kept him occupied and going. He loved it. He's really proud that he built it. He did get frustrated at times, but had to remind him that it was rated for older kids. I recommend it.

Very cool lego set. The booster ring comes off the starfigher very easily. Be carefull of the outside pieces on the booster ring. They tend to fall off easily. My 8 year old son has complained that Obi One does not come with his own lightsaber.

I am a 15 year old going on 16 and it isn't an easy thing to admit liking lego to friends. I am a huge star wars fan and I love to collect all things star wars including lego. The highlights of this set are as follows,
1. The star fighter is nicely colored blue. It is made up of three major pieces, (you'll see when if you buy it), and is very sturdy.
2. The ring is pretty awesome, it is nicely built, and is a good stand. It actually holds up the starfighter, 8 outa 10 times.
3. Minifigures are awesome!!! This set includes the first ever Kit Fisto minifigure! He is really cool and comes with a lightsaber. The obi-wan included is different from the traditional one, has his headset on. The only negative of this set, is that obi-wan does not come with a lightsaber or cape. Other than that, get this set.

Given as a gift to a family member, I must say this is seriously overpriced. I had legos when I was a kid and it seems as though the price has just gone through the roof! That being said, it was a lot of fun to build, however didn't take much time. Perhaps it wasn't challenging enough, not sure I would purchase again.

Over 500 pieces of fun and challenge, perfect for kids who love building intricate Lego creations. We gave this to a bright boy on his seventh birthday and he built it largely on his own, with some advice from a parent in tricky parts. Like all Lego big-build items, the instructions are clear and don't require much reading. A solid choice! I'm not a Lego builder myself, or a follower of the Star Wars saga so I can't comment on the specifics of the set or its connections to the Star Wars saga but the comments I heard were positive and delighted from the happy recipient.

My 9 year old son loved this present. He spend the next 2 days putting it together. It was so nice to see him working on LEGO's vs. playing video games. Just make sure you buy legos that are age appropriate for your child.

My son is a Star Wars fan. He knows most all the characters and loves creating his own stories. He has watched all the movies and knows the stories by heart. This has given him an additional prop to create more action with his action figures. He enjoyed putting this together as well playing with it.
