The name “LEGO” is an abbreviation of the Danish words “leg godt,” meaning “play well.” It’s our name and our ideal.
The LEGO Group was founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Christiansen. The company has passed from father to son and remains a family-owned business even today, owned by Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, a grandchild of the founder.
It has come a long way over the past decades—from a small carpenter’s workshop to a modern, global enterprise. The LEGO Group is a privately held company based in Billund, Denmark. The company is still owned by the Kirk Kristiansen family, who founded it in 1932.
The LEGO Group is engaged in the development of children’s creativity through playing and learning, and it is this core philosophy that is built into every LEGO brand watch and clock.

The fact of the matter is everyone loves Legos, and having a watch that can be disassembled, reassembled, resized, and customized any way you like makes it even better.
Get one. The only thing the watch does is tell time, but it's very durable and classy.
UPDATE: It didn't last as long as I'd hoped -- less than a year. Actually, it was only one piece that broke, but it was one of the halves of the clasp, and there weren't any replacement pieces in the box. Bummer!
There are plenty of pieces to make a big wrist band and easily customized. Even the kid size was good enough for me. After wearing steel watches for ages, this definitely feels very light, but I think would be good enough for kids.
I found that each connection has a broad side and a narrow side, if you join the pieces by inserting the narrow end and then rotating, it keeps the pieces well locked together. But if you try to insert the broader side, it may cause the connection end to enlarge over time, that may cause the pieces to fall apart.
The watch I got for my cousin broke within a couple of months but mine still works...So I am not sure who to blame :)

The idea was amazing. My nephew was sooooo excited to get it. However the band isn't actually a band, but rather its a series of pieces that snap together. Read morePublished 10 months ago by A
