My 10 year old son got this as a present from his grandparents. And what a great, durable and easy to assemble car. He had it put together in a matter of minutes. The power this thing has in the dirt, grass and on the pavement is exceptional. A very good car for the money. My son has played for hours with it and you can buy an accessory pack to change out the colors and modify it even more. Lego did a great job with this toy!

Boys love remote control gadgets, especially cars. However, the rc cars we have bought in the past proved far too fragile, usually losing at least the antenna on the first day. This one is definitely an exception! We bought two of these for our 9 and 11 year old boys for Christmas. They had them put together on their own by the time the batteries were charged, and have had a blast jumping them over speed bumps and ramps. The romote has three different chanels, so they can both race at the same time. They have even made a few modifications by changing pieces around and adding things from other lego sets. And talk about durable! Even our 6 year old, who is a master of disassembly, hasn't broken them!

I agree that this toy is a bit pricey, but ours were the "big present" at Christmas and get lots of use. We love them!

i bought this item for a recently turned 8 year old lego lover (it was on his christmas wish list). basically, he had little difficulty assembling the racer by himself, but it doesn't seem to run consistantly well. we haven't had a chance yet to sit and trouble shoot the assembly. overall, he is happy to have the racer, but for the money i wish it worked better.

I bought this for my husband's birthday, and he absolutely loves it. Its durable. And the battery lasts for about 40 minutes after being fully charged.

I read about this RC racer in Family Fun magazine and it got best toy for 10-12 age group and they were Right! It is alot of fun to put together..not too hard, but a good challenge...It can also be made into a different model,we went online to lego and got the directions.

It is also sturdy, maneuvers, speeds up to 13 miles in hours and can take all kinds of terrain including snow jumps. The battery has given us about an hour of hard driving.The remote is alot of fun to use. I loves it...its spendy, but I've already had hours of fun.

My son begged for this after playing with his friends over the course of a few months. His friend did get a better battery (we have not, yet), but after more then a year of boy+dirt fun we were confident it was a worthwhile investment. Ours has been holding up great (we live in the country so it's always off-road) & the boys just fitted them both with custom chains (old swingset) for better traction in mud & snow.

We have a boxload of the remains of fragile rc helicopters, so in comparison this is a beautiful beast.

Very good and durable car for the little ones, but the battery duration is not what we expected, it only lasts about 30-40 minutes.

My grandson asked for this for his 14th BD. He had it put together and working in no time at all.It will run 14mph and looks massive. He is very pleased with this car kit. Nate loves to work with his hands so this was the perfect gift for him. He wanted a remote control car costing more than twice as much but when I suggested something he could put together his self he found this online and loves it. Received order in just 2 days.

Love this car, but would not purchase again, unless they increased the battery life. It takes about 4 hours the charge for 20 min of fun. The quality and durability of the car are great, but if you can only play for a short time? Just when we are having a great time with it, the battery is gone and it is really hard for a kid to wait most of the day for just another 20 min. If they could change that, I would be TOTALLY sold!

Product is fun, fast and easy to assemble. The only complaint I have is it takes 5-6 hrs to charge and will only run for about 10-15 minutes. Others reviews I read indicated a run time of about 40 minutes but that hasn't been my experience.
