5.0 out of 5 stars great set! good aplication to the exo-force line., January 5, 2007
A Kid's Review
This review is from: LEGO Exo-Force Sentai Fortress (Toy)
first of all, I first got this set for christmas. it was a little on the pricey side, but TOTALLY worth it. it comes with seven mini-figs:(that's how we lego junkies say minifigures.)ha-ya-to,takeshi,ryo,sensei keiken, hikaru, meca one, and two iron drones.(not counting the spider robot it comes with)all the humans have anime-style hair(one of the reasons I was atrracted to the line) except for sensei keiken. the base itself is HUGE. it has a medical bay, a command tower, a repair bay,a weapons bay, and there are little carts that can go along the walls. it also comes with a full size battle machine called 'silent strike'. I don't think you can get it anywhere else. it includes a battle machine(not full size)that dosen't have a name, that is meca one's. the thing isn't very well done, and the cockpit keeps falling back.(it's desigined like that, not fully attached to the rest of the body)it has a disk launcher, which dosen't work all that good. I just take out the disks and play with it. the spider bot is cool, but it's legs are hard to poisition right. a cool thing about the repair bay is that any full size battle machine will fit in it.(exept for striking venom and some of the larger sets, like the mobile defense tank. I should know. I tried it) it also includes neat little components like work tools, and other things. on the front there is a HUGE gate. only con that I experienced with it is that the doors keep falling off. it might work better or worse with another one, though.(crazy as it sounds, building and playing with legos since I was four taught me that) the medical bay has a little bed that will fit a mini-fig in it. there is a light brick(again, more lego junkie talk) that is connected to a fiber-optical tube that shines through a little tiny magnifying glass. the weapons bay has two guns, and two missles. overall, this thing ROCKS!! any exo force fan will want one.

My son wanted this for his 9th birthday, and he's had a lot of fun with it. He built it independently. It does take up a lot of space, but he's already done some improvising and creative things with it beyond the instructions, which is why I like his fascination with Legos. It's a bit fragile as far as moving it, or having little brothers mess with it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Set for Ultimate Lego Collector, January 12, 2008

I like this set because it includes several battle machines from both sides for twice the fun as just the fortress would be. There are also several items for attack and defense, including a construction/repair bay, command center, regeneration station, and more to make Sentai Fortress one of the best sets ever.

4.0 out of 5 stars Flagship Exo-force, March 20, 2007
This review is from: LEGO Exo-Force Sentai Fortress (Toy)
+ It's BIG

+ Includes the Blue Exo-force mech and a Black robot mech

+ The entire cast is included

+ Th Blue mech looks sturdier than the standard Mech and has 2 hands to grip items

+ Lots of robot minifigs

- The layout is intentionally hexagonal; which means it doesn't go on a lego base very well as-is

- The out walls have gaps; some are very large but not large enough for a minifig to go through

- The alternate building design (Sentai Tower) is only so-so

- Black robot mech that the Gold robot sits in is very fragile and doesn't have much arm articulation

= Great set for an Exo-force fan especially if you intend on customizing it yourself.
