My son has loved Bionicles since he was 5. The series of books were his first "major" reads, getting him off to an early start in loving to read. Skopio has been another fun addition to his collection, encouraging skills like following instructions, problem solving when you mess something up, and overall patience, perseverance and the confidence boost of completing a difficult task well.

I love these Bionicls. They are great fun for my nephew. However, if you purchase this from Amazon, please note that "gift-wrapping" option means they stuff it into a blue cloth sack, two times bigger than the box with a gold draw ribbon. It looks like a laundry bag. You will have to re-wrap this yourself. Don't use this option.

I thought this seemed like a good toy for my son for his 7th birthday. One of his friends had it and loved it, played with it all the time. It's a good deal though Amazon. It's like $90+ dollars at Toys R Us or Target. When we got it, it took days to put together and our son dosen't play with it much.

Mom typing this............this is my first on my own project. There are a ton of pieces, but the directions are easy to follow. This was my only gift I asked for for Christmas and I am very excited to finish it.

I was concerned about the purchase price of this Bionicle. But my son loves it. We spent more than an hour aseembling this toy. It was a very enjoyable experience seeing how happy my son was. And then learning all of the actions and motions that the toy makes. It does so much. Very worth the money.

He thinks this is the best one because it is 2 toys in one.
You have a fighting robot that also converts into the coolest vehicle.
It took him a long time to build this toy but once he started he could not put it down until he completed it.It has may parts and is the largest lego bionicle toy he has.He built it all by himself. If your child loves to build then this is a great gift to give him.

Our son asked for this for Christmas and we could only find it online at amazon. It shipped right away and we got it in plenty of time for Christmas. It is a more complicated Bionicle to put together, but the step by step directions with pictures make it doable. Our son loves this toy and we had a lot of fun working to put it together.

It's a lot of fun. My son loved and is a great oportunity to spend some father and son time!

This is an 849 piece building toy. Like a good model, the fun is in the building and there is little "playing with" afterwards. Many many of the pieces are very small. They assemble into a model that will be about a fifteen inches tall and twentytwo inches wide. This is not a first Bionicle. This is not a quick and easy build. I have spent five to six hours building mine. That was with very little reworking due to missing something.
What is in the box? There is the driver, four legs, the body and the tail/weapon each in a bag. About 110 pages of instructions in two books fit all of this together. This is the largest Bionicle Lego sold. While not one of the most complex builds, it will keep you looking. The four legs are one build and it is easy to get off track here.
If you design your own models, this set is a joy with almost 100 pieces of track. This will allow you to build either four five-inch tracks or two large tracks. Tracks are not a common feature in Bionicle kits. A second item is two large jet engine type pieces. The third item is four pivoit joints that I have not seen in any other kit.
Overall, this is a unique kit and well worth having.

Bought this for my 6yr old, He loves it we have stairs and it has been dropped many times and its very durable the pieces lock together, much like Legos but don't fall apart like them.
