Check your prices! This is the worst I've seen since Cabbage Patch dolls. This toy was $50 at Amazon and $46 at Target. Now, all reputable dealers are sold out, including Amazon, and only the toy scalpers have them, like BunkyPower, an Amazon store selling this $46 toy for $95. We don't need it that badly.

My kids (7 & 8yrs old) are Lego fanatics, and this is their favorite set so far. I bought this along with a Lego Community Workers set and they have spent hours playing with it! They have set up a skate and bike shop - the friendly mechanic there sells bikes, helmets, and skateboards, fixes wheels and also services the bus. There is a pizza shop where friends meet and Moms and Dads have date nights (LOL), the place is always packed. The bus stop is always busy with people waiting. The bus is amazing and can hold many people.

I love the educational value of this set. It is hard to find real-world role playing toys for boys so they can act out real life situations. I highly recommend getting the City Corner and the Community Worker minifigure set together. Now we are deciding what other places we will build - like a school, a grocery store, a hospital. The City Corner can be the jumping-off point for building your entire Lego city!

You can't beat Legos for durability. I know these toys will be in my family for as long as they are wanted.

This set should be at the top of your child's list!

I bought this for my daughter who is building a Lego town. She really found it easy to build, except for the bus which was a little tricky. It is fun to sit the people in the pizza parlor at tables. Also, you can get the pizza lady to put a pizza in a little oven with a door that opens. On the second floor of the pizza parlor there are windows that open. There is a skate shop that sells skateboards and hats. It comes with a guy that has a helmet and skateboard, so you can ride him around the city. The bus stop has a bench area that people can sit on especially a little business man guy. The detail in this set is impressive. Lego has come a long way since I was a kid.

My 8 year old was kind of into LEGOS so long as he had assistance, but this kit inspired him to work solo. He loved creating each structure and is eager to build more parts of Lego City! Love how each building or bus is in its own bag - makes for quick play. The directions were easy for my son to do on his own. He is HOOKED. :)

I received this set for Christmas. This set took me 2 hours to complete. It stays together very well and was very enjoyable to put together. There are 5 characters in the set. The little skateboard guy is really cool. The pizza place has lots of accessories like pizzas, chairs, tables ,glasses and a pizza oven. The shop has two tools, an extra skateboard, a helmet and a hat. The bus has lots of seats and a bus driver. There is a bus stop with a bench, a light, a trash can and some flowers. I would recomend this set to anyone who loves legos.

We purchased this for my son's birthday. He put it together with some parental assistance and has played with it quite a bit. It goes well with the other Lego City products.

I gave this to my daughter for her 9th birthday - she has inherited many. many legos (from her two older brothers as well as from what I grew up with!) and while she is very creative in creating her own schools, spas, zoos, etc. she also has loved some of the sets. She had built her own "school bus", but she was thrilled to have a "real" bus and especially getting a "girl" (from the pizzeria) was HUGE - as well as she loved getting another skateboarder and TWO skateboards - she had an old one from her brothers, and has always wanted another. I was shocked at how quickly she put it all together - very well broken down into separate packaging - no frustration at all - now she wants the Fire truck set!

Legos have stepped up since I was a kid!

This set was fairly easy to put together (took under an hour).

Downside- falls apart a bit.

Overall, I am concerned that legos don't let children use their imaginations as much as it once did. I remember building cubes with wheels for cars- the bus in this set looks identical to a city bus.

The bus is pretty cool. Stays together very well. A great place to put his other Lego men. The details like the bus bench, fire hydrant and the pizzaria make this a realistic set. Goes well with other Lego City products. Buy it just for the bus alone. My 9 year old son enjoys this set very much. Arrived on time from Amazon with no problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars The heart of the Lego City, June 28, 2010

After reading the other reviews here, my wife and I decided that the Lego City Corner would be the perfect larger size playset for our 4-year old son, a budding Lego enthusiast. The City Corner features a 3-story pizzeria (complete with oven, tiny wine glasses and pizzas), a bike and skateboard shop, a bus stop, a city bus and five minifigures.

Complexity: There are close to 500 pieces in this set, so it was by far the largest project we've attempted. Still, Lego's clear instructions and the fact that each major section's pieces were separately bagged made assembly a breeze. My son is still too young to really work the smaller pieces, but he built many of the larger elements, such as walls, windows, roofs and doors, and of course the minifigures are his domain. All told, it took about 90 minutes to complete.

Playability: This is by far my son's favorite Lego set. He's already spent hours with it, assigning names and roles to the figures, loading and unloading them from the bus, and arranging dinners at the pizzeria. Once we brought the City Corner together with his other Lego City vehicles, he had an even better time. It's an almost frustration-free set as well.

The Lego City Corner isn't cheap, but it is worth every penny. It's the perfect "next step" for kids who are ready to go beyond just the Lego vehicles, and it's also just a lot of fun to put together and play with.
