Every year my husband and son get this set and put it together daily as a part of the Christmas Advent. Boy, are they awesome! I just stumbled upon them one day shopping here on amazon, and am I ever glad I did! Now that you have, you HAVE to buy it! Each year, Lego only ships these out to one store to sell. This year it was Target and when they're gone, they're gone! They come out in October and if you blink, you'll miss it. They go really fast so if you're hesitating, don't. The figures are adorable and the fun your children/grandchildren will have with it will last a lifetime. Keep the box too - they are collector's items when they get older. Highly, highly recommend!

The Lego Advent calendar is a BIG HIT for any kid under 11...my children love it and it's always a favorite when we give it away for the holidays. Your little ones will look forward to opening a window each day and creating a delightful Lego character. It adds excitement to the holiday season. You can't go wrong with this one...

I purchased the Lego advent calendar for my children last year, and we were all disappointed by it. The kids loved opening a new window everyday, and each window held pieces that they could assemble, but we all kept waiting for the assembled pieces to "go" together somehow. The pieces are all unrelated, and have nothing to do with the Christmas season. Your kids can assemble a Lego pizza grill or even a criminal (complete with handcuffs). I would have loved it if the Lego parts were related to Christmas in any way, but they were not. This should not be packaged as an Advent calendar.

My three year old grandson just loves this advent calendar. His anticipation builds with each day! Great value for the money.

My 2 Grandsons, now 5 & 9, received the Lego Christmas Advent Calendar every year for the last 4 years and it's become a tradition. As I write this, its early November and they are already asking about it. They love Legos in general and are always happy to get new pieces. Amazon.com is the best place to buy it. I'm always surprised to find that the Christmas sets on eBay cost more than buying directly from Lego.

I purchased this for my son and he went crazy over it when I gave it to him on Dec 1st. He had a blast each morning opening that little door and discovering what mini lego kit there was to build. He had no trouble following directions...however he is a big fan of Lego and is always building building building. Each day he would set up the new creation on the fold-out cardboard base, and each day he was delighted to see how his mini city was building up. Even now...February...he still has it all laid out. Initially I thought it was on the expensive side, but it works out to about $1 per day...and that is worth it to see the excitement in him each morning. A great Lego product that Lego should NEVER stop making.

I liked the concept of the lego advent calendar but without directions it was confusing. I was under the impression that objects from various days would come together to build a bigger object. That was not the case. Each object was the part of a little town. It also did not keep my 6 year old nephews attention. Overall, I was a little disappointed.

Well it's three days after Christmas, and the calendar is put together and loved. We all loved this calendar, the 13 year old, the 18 year old, and the 52 year old. This was excitement every day to see which toy would be behind the door. Each day took a few minutes to figure out and assemble. Overall the whole calendar is a great addition to any City set. We have two older Lego houses that look great with every one of these toys. Taken as a whole, the Christmas spirit is in here. We loved this set.

I bought this for my 5 year old son at Target for 20.99 using a coupon. Please shop around before paying this price.
As for the calendar, it's already put together which makes it easy, unlike the PlayMobil one. No big deal though.
It has the same quality as all Lego toys.

Our children love the Lego Advent Calendar. They look forward to this every year!
