Blast off with the 494-piece LEGO City Space Center. Designed for children ages 6 to 12, this space-themed set will stretch imaginations to the outer limits. Prep the astronaut for launch, fuel the rocket and adjust the engines, get mission control ready, and then activate the elevator to load the astronaut into the cockpit. Start the countdown for sending this adventurous crew into space!
Equipped with everything needed for an imaginative space adventure--control center, launch platform, rolling launch pad, transport vehicle, four mini figures, and a satellite--the LEGO Space Center is bound to entertain your aspiring space explorer.
The rocket, standing 14-1/5 inches tall, is the highlight of this set. The payload compartment has the ability to hold either an astronaut or a satellite, both of which can be loaded into the rocket using the manually operated elevator.
The launch platform has quite a bit of detail, including a manual countdown board that goes from three to zero. Other cool features include an elevator that goes up and down, a rolling launch pad that holds the rocket and locks into place on the launch platform, a transport vehicle for driving the astronaut to the launch site, and tools for the mechanic to make repairs.
The LEGO Space Center comes with four mini figures: two astronauts, a mechanic, and an operator. One of the astronauts comes equipped with a stellar space helmet.
One of the best features about this set is that the LEGO pieces are packaged into sub-models, which makes building easy. Each package of pieces is numbered and has its own instruction manual for building that specific section.
494 LEGO pieces, instruction booklet, and LEGO space poster.
