Designed with advanced building techniques and rare colors and elements, the Tower Bridge is complete with its iconic paired towers and a drawbridge that really opens. Fun to build and display, it locks together solidly but can be taken apart in sections for easy transport. Includes 4 miniature vehicles; a black London taxi, a traditional red double-decker bus, a yellow truck and a green automobile. Completed model measures 40" (102 cm) long, 17" (45 cm) high and 10" (26 cm) wide.

Lego has earned a reputation as a somewhat pricey but very dependable toy. Lego is very well built, so you always end up with a model that looks like the picture on the box.
This model was a great build. Three instruction books were very easy to follow. So many pieces (over 4000) and building two identical bridge towers made this somewhat tedious at times. Great model for adults or older children. However, a kid with a good attention span can do the model, at least down to about ten years or so. Younger, & might need some help.
There are two things I particularly liked about the London Tower Bridge model. First, it has wonderful detail. It was fun to stop while building it just to admire the decorations as it was being constructed. Great engineering meant it went together as expected, all pieces fit, and the final result is a showpiece worthy of your living room coffee table. At 40" long, it is just about large enough to fill most coffee tables.
The second thing I liked was getting all the neat lego pieces for my collection. There are tons of good, unusual colors, and dozens to hundreds of copies of many of the pieces. This makes the pieces right for all kinds of other buildings and castles, and whatever you can dream up.
I was able to get this from Amazon at retail ($239.00). Be careful you do not pay more, as many lego sellers here will charge 30-100% over retail if you just order without checking elsewhere. Unfortunate, but you cannot just buy lego from Amazon without checking.

jeeeezzzzz, i am about MAYBE a third of the way done as of right now, so i can't say how it is going to turn out when done. I just wanted to say it is a really nice lego set to add to my model collection.
there are a TON of tiny pieces here. it could have been cut down to half as many overall if lego had made special pieces for it. of course, then, it wouldn't look like a masonary bridge
you get almost every color lego makes: black, two shades of greay, brown, two shades of blue, biege, and even some red, yellow, and a couple green pieces.
there are THREE books (yeah three) and they are very detailed. not to worry that you will put something where it doesn't belong (the brown on brown imperial flag ship comes to mind. but i still love that one).
when complete there are two cars a truck and a double decker bus to drive across. i googled "london tower brdge" to get a look at what it REALLY looks like and it is very close. a lot of great facts about the bridge out there to

the towers are hollow. kinda sad. i wish it looked like the real bridge from the inside too
some of the window frames don't have windows
i am MISSING two pieces. fortunately, the 1-800 customer servise number brings you to very nice and VERY halpful lego reps that will send you any and all pieces missing from any set. i have now used hem three times

I had been looking for a modelling project that was challenging, but did not involve paint or glue. My son,who is 37, was coming home for the weekend and I knew he loved Legos as a child. I searched for a kit that the family could enjoy and would make a display piece.
I am completely satisfied. We had lots of fun building it and the final model is unbelievable in detail and beauty. It was challenging, having about 4,000 pieces, some of which are quite small for my stubby fingers. But my son and wife had no problems.
The drawings are well done and easy to follow. There are probably 10 different colors, so we found getting out all my wife's plastic and metal bowls was very useful for separating pieces by color and size. This saved a lot of time searching for pieces, but plan on lots of search time.
I am now searching for the next one and hope my son can help me on his next visit.

Tower Bridge Lego kit
