Once you get over the price tag of LEGOs and plunk down your dough for some sets, you can really unlock a lot of creative play time with your children. This set contains green, blue, yellow, red and white blocks that are 2x2, 2x3, 2x4, 2x6 and 2x8 (maybe even longer). The assortment is good enough to build a small LEGO house or two. I'd definitely recommend a 10x10-inch base plate (LEGO Small Green Building Plate (10 x 10))or two to go with this, so that will give you and your child something to build on. I also purchased a door-and-window set (at the Downtown Disney LEGO store) to enhance the look of the houses we build. This set even came with a plastic storage box (which nicely accommodates the 10x10 plates I purchased separately). A great starter set for the four-to-six-year-old crowd and above.

Exactly what I was looking for!! No tiny pieces (1x1, 1x2 etc)

My kids (8 & 10) have been playing and collecting legos for years. I find we have tons of 1x whatever pieces and various specialty parts, but are lacking the basic 2x something bricks. My quest was to find a good supplemental set to enhance our current stuff. This was it!! Yay!

I did not find ANY 1x pieces!! I did not remove the bricks from the(clear)celophane, but did an extensive visual scan and just didn't see any tiny pieces.

It is only basic bricks in various colors in the various 2 x sizes...so if that is what you're looking for I hope this helps!

I was very happy with this purchase. I had looked all over for lego blocks and could only find kits. I just wanted a large amount of blocks of different sizes and that's want I got and more. I bought a case for the blocks because one was not pictured in the add, and to my suprise they came with a case too. I felt that I got more than I had expected for my money.

The picture of the legos and many of the reviews describe this as a bulk lot of simple 2 stud wide blocks. What I received was lego set 5487 which contains many specialty parts of single stud wide blocks, angled parts, thin pieces, and eyes on blocks. That is not what I was looking for.

This is a really great buy. Has lots of blocks and a little storage box is included. Doesn't have the little single pieces or the sloped pieces, or wheels, but a great starter set. Add some baseplates and a couple of other block kits and your kids will have a ball!

I love legs for their creatkve and educational value. This set also comes with a great storage bin.

This toy fulfills all 3 categories for a 58yo
retired person. Depending on whether listening
to Country-Western, Classical or Pop music,
dictates the free-form imagination that I
build/construct/modify forms or structures.
Very relaxing, fun and silly in many ways.
Find it is much more constructive than
playing on the PC.

dont get me wrong, i give 5 stars all the way aroundd for all lego products, i grew up with them. they are over priced, but ......576 lego bricks for $99.99, what ever you are smokin must be good! i just bought my son sets 6177 and 4635 which consists of a total of 1175 (realistically you have to by this amazon published item twice, which would be 200 bucks, just to amount to what i bought for 80$) pieces,650 in 6177 and 525 in 4635, they are brand spankin new from toys are us, for 78$ and some odd change. do your research before you waste 100 bucks on a garbage sale like this for 576 pieces. check ebay if you wanna bulk up, even at that you will only save like 10-20 dollars per thousand and thats used!

Lego bulk set gave me the opportunity to make individual bags for kids to make cars for my sons 5th birthday party.

My two-year-old loves legos. He's never stuck them in his mouth or any other orifices, He loves building and doesn't really make things like cars or houses yet so this was perfect for him. Just a large amount of blocks. I'm sure in a matter of months I'll have to get a set with doors and wheels and propellers, but for now, this is perfect.
