My nine year old Lego lover chose, purchased, and assembled this quickly on his own. It's educational in the sense that all legos are educational (fine motor skills, following graphic directions, pretend play) and possesses the high quality that I expect from the Lego brand.

This is a toy that doesn't go together easily and then falls apart. When you start building this set, you make the minifig and the cockpit. When it comes time to make the legs, they fall apart so easily! The Assault Tiger doesn't stay together when you play with it. Overall, I think Lego could work harder on making Exo-Force sets more sturdy. It's my favorite theme, but you have to watch quality. - review by the Lego master builder himself, age 7
