This was a present for my son (10), who is a freak for Star Wars Lego, so I was not sure about getting him a Bionicle Lego instead. He says he now likes the Bionicle Lego better, because they are sturdier (easier to play with without them coming apart) and better for changing around and redesigning. He did find it a little more challenging to put together than the Star Wars Lego.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great edition to anyones Bionicle collection, July 26, 2009

I recently purchased this and think it is a great set,and is worth buying and building.Lego has done it again a great set at a great price. It is pretty durable but should not be dropped just like other lego kits. It is a somewhat compliacted kit and is not really for beginners. Overall I would give the kit an A. I would definitely buy it at that price if you dont already own it.

This was a Christmas gift for an eleven year old boy. I understand that he put all of his other gifts aside and began assembling the various parts. Previously he had several other Lego toys but considered this the best one to date.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, December 18, 2010

In the words of my 7 year old son: "This toy is great, but when I got it it was pretty hard to build. I like how the wings fold and it shoots six gray balls. I also like that it is strong and durable. It's a really cool toy. I like the handle on it, because with it I can fly it around the room. Thank you for reading this."

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth it for the mask, October 15, 2010

I'm 12, but I got this for Christmas when I was 11, and it just seemed to overwhelming to put the ship together, but the special Pohatu is wayyyyy cooler than the phantoka set version of him because he has his flight mask. The actual ship comes with Zamor launchers (from the piraka) and a couple of jets and that's about it... I'd say partswise, the Jetrax is better (or now, the Thornatus) because of better weapons. But all of the ships are really hard to build >.<

My son is very specific on his choices of bionicles. The LEGO Bionicle Rockoh T3 was one he wanted a lot and was afraid I would not be abe to find it for Christmas since they were so popular. I was overjoyed at the ease with which I was able to find it on Amazon. All of the bionicles are not only fun, they keep him occupied and thinking. Each one sems to be better than the last and I love the way all bionicle parts can be mixed for very imaginative "creatures". I even noticed they put extras of some of the parts that are easily lost.

5.0 out of 5 stars A trusty LEGO product, January 6, 2009

I purchased this product as a Christmas present for my son. He loved it and didn't waste anytime assembling it that day. If your child is not accustomed to assembling slightly advanced LEGO kits than they'll need adult help. My son is 8 and has been assembling kits for higher age categories for some time. He only asked us for assistance a few times on this product. It looks pretty neat once complete.
