In Lego Batman 2: DC Super Hereos, calamity strikes as the Joker forms as alliance with Lex Luther. The result is a uniting of the world's greatest villains from across the DC Comics universe, hell bent on tearing down Gotham City, brick by brick. Thankfully Batman and Robin are able to form their own unit for good with members of the Justice League. Additional heroes available in the game include Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and many more. Ok, so my 5 year old son loves Lego games. He plays Lego Indiana Jones on the Xbox but usually has trouble with some of the puzzles so I usually join him to help beat the levels. I eventually bought him Lego Indiana Jones 2 DS version but forget it, controls were clunky and puzzles were harder. Then I saw this game was going to be released soon so I kept in on my radar. I eventually downloaded the demo and thought it played very well so I decided it would be worth the purchase. My son has been playing it and I can gladly say he is enjoying. The controls are smooth and he's is plowing through the levels with ease. The puzzle sequences are so well put together to where they're not too hard but yet it gives him a challenge. It almost walks him through it. For example: When he completes a puzzle, coins will appear and show him where to jump or which direction to go. The level design is great along with the gameplay. I do think the handheld version is geared more towards the younger crowd but it doesn't mean its not a good game because it is. I often have to stop myself from snatching the 3DS from my son. :)

My family loves the Lego series and we wanted to get a portable version for a few reasons so we agreed on the 3DS version of the game after playing the demo. The 3DS version of Lego Batman 2 is a strong Lego style video game if you are used to the older games. It has great graphics for the system, good controls, but it is missing the much touted "open world" aspect of the 360/PS3/PC versions. Which for us is ok, we honestly didn't know about the open world stuff until seeing the PC/360/PS3 versions and only expected more of what we were used to, but after seeing the larger games, we want to try those out also. We can understand the 3DS doesn't have the horsepower to warrant the features the big guys get, and for what you do get on the system, my 5 year old son couldn't be happier. Just no ahead of time if you are looking for the open world version of the game, the 3DS version doesn't have it. Still a great Lego Batman game!

My 9 year old son has been waiting for this for months. When it finally arrived, he's played it for two solid days. He says this is the best LEGO game yet--Pirates was weak, as was Indiana Jones 2. This is back to Travelers' Games Glory. Well done, people!
