This review is by Noah who is five years old. Mata Nui is very cool. His shield is one of the coolest parts of this set. The big knives on his arms are also very cool. His thornax launcher can shoot very far. His mask has the shape of the legendary key used to open the legendary codrix. His knee pads are also very very cool. I recommend you get him from Amazon.

I purchased this for my nephews who love legos and building things. They were extremely happy with them, and love to have them with their other collection of legos

mata nui is the best bionicle ever only because they named the island mata nui after him. he is durable, but not very educatinal, although you might want to teach them about bionicle. he is great and you should buy him

when i went to wal mart with my mom and family and i said its right over there and we went over to the toys isle and said go ahead so they bought it for me. i love to play with it alllllllllllll the time its so fun

We bought this for my 6 year old son for Christmas. He loves it and plays with it quite a bit. He wants more of them and with his birthday not too far off, will probably end up getting 1 or 2 more.

The Bionicle toys I've seen so far have all been durable and provided him with a lot of fun. This was the first he had as his own. I had to help him a little bit putting it together but then he just started having fun with it. It is the only one he owns so far, so we haven't been able to take advantage of the 'game' built into it - with the dial to track damage as it battles other bionicles, but that hasn't stopped him from creating his own uses for it in the imaginary battles he creates.

I would recommend these for any little boy, the really are a great toy.

Pros. Great design, Love the scarabax shield pieces and is pretty durable

Cons. The side armour pieces on his arms get a little in the way while either posing or playing,
Kanohi Ignika looks a little small to me

Otherwise a great figure to have.

My son is 6. Loves these Lego Hero guys. Not exactly knowing what I was purchasing I went with this Mata Nui thinking it would be a good fit. It wasn't. Lots of little pieces and not as sturdy as the others I've purchased. Wouldn't recommend if you are a person purchasing for the 4-7 age range... maybe more around 8-10.

My grandson loves this toy. Of all the money spent on toys he spends more hours playing with this than any other toy. Thank you Lego!

I ordered this toy, Mata Nui, for my grandson for his birthday. He loves it! He enjoys bionicles so much that i plan to buy more.

While I honestly wasn't a fan of Bionicle: The Legend Reborn, I personally believe LEGO Bionicle Legends Mata Nui to be an acceptable set. And here is why.

I really like how the creators of this set tried to be creative with the pieces--giving us Bionicle pieces never before seen in any other theme. Another fact I would like to point out is the articulation. While some spots can be slightly breakable at times, the articulation is nothing much to complain about in my opinion. The only downsides I could think of was Mata Nui's bland color scheme and his breakable parts.

I would recommend LEGO Bionicle Legends Mata Nui to any child over the age of six and/or any fan of the Bionicle or Lego franchise.
