Of course building LEGOS is the real fun; however, it is disappointing when you expect some action at the end and it does not happen. The launchers do not move the cars more than one inch....:(

We saw this set at the Mall of America Legoland, and the Easter Bunny bought them from Amazon for our 3-year-old. He is a huge fan of the Cars movies and had been looking forward to "McQueen Legos" ever since he saw them in the store (we neither encouraged nor discouraged these expectations). He had the first two cars put together (with some elbow grease from Daddy on some of the pieces) in less than 30 minutes, after which we told him he needed to wait until after church to do the rest. The "launchers" are functional, but they are more "pushers" than real launchers, and my kid much preferred pushing them around and "racing" them the old fashioned way. My son likes to take the cars apart and put them back together (as well as playing with them in between) over and over, so we've probably done so at least 4 times. The instructions are SUPER easy to follow, so much so that my 3-year-old can follow them with only minimal re-direction (I actually tested this by saying nothing more than "Uh huh" and "Hmmmm" the last time we put Raoul CaRoule together). If your kid just likes putting Legos together and then never touching them again, this is less than an hour of fun. But if your kid likes building and rebuilding, this set is AWESOME. And if your kid likes Cars 2 AND Legos, he/she will be over the moon that the cars actually look like the real thing.

I love lego but this set is absolutely horrible and overpriced. Why? You are lucky if after you build the launchers the cars go anywhere. And I mean ANYWHERE! Once you hit the plunger the cars hardly move! So basically you are paying 30 dollars for four lego cars.The launchers are useless. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SET!
