The Mine set comes with four minifigure workers: a crew chief, a crane driver, a driller, and a truck driver. Place the minifigures in vehicles and locations around the mine to perform different jobs.

Realistic Accessories Enhance Play

The set comes with a variety of accessories and tools for the workers: three dynamite packs, two detonators, 38 small rocks in an array of colors, two gold bars, an explosion warning sign, a storage box, a jackhammer, a fence with hazard lights, a wheelbarrow, a broom, a shovel, a pickaxe, a walkie-talkie, and a coffee cup.

Spinning Drill, Moving Crane, and Working Dump Truck

Build the spinning drill for breaking up rocks and loading them onto the train. Use the moving crane with rotating cabin, moving arm, and lowering shovel for mining.

The working dump truck lets you load and unloads gold blocks from the mine. It also features its own cab that accommodates one minifigure.

Lego dad here, just put the finishing touches on the LEGO City Mine and wow, what a fun build. In total I have purchased (or my son has received) every set in the new Mine theme for 2012 and I have to say that this is the cream of the crop. There are some really fun elements including a small dump/semi truck, a mining boar, a crane (with working hoist), a working conveyor belt, 4 mini's and a small mine train (with a section of track to run on. With plenty of accessories for the little ones to play with this set is sure to be a hit. The "mine" portion comes apart in 2 sections and each area has it's own play feature. You can move rocks with the crane and load them on to the conveyor, which in turn puts them into the truck and off they do to do more work. Adding this set to the Mining truck and other medium to small sets from the 2012 City theme make for a great play experience. The price on this right now is excellent (was under 80$ when purchased) and is worth every penny at that price. Some retailers are selling for more, but buying from Amazon is a good bet right now. For the price, piece count, mini's and everything that comes with you really can't go wrong here. Highly recommended!

The product appeared to be just right for my 6 years old grandson.
He assembled everything himself and then explained me, how different machines work on the mine.
The instruction was clear enough for him, though this was not his first lego from City series.
Warning: there are may small elements, which are supposed to be "digged out" of the mine, so the may fly around the room.
