5.0 out of 5 stars Great Value but You'll Want More
I bought this for our four year old, and he really enjoys playing with them. I like this generic collection of mult-purpose bricks better than the sets that are designed to build one unique item. For the price, you really get a lot of stuff. On the down side, there are a lot of the smaller bricks (1 x 2 and 1 x 1), but it is still a good value. After playing with this...

3.0 out of 5 stars No Wheels!!! No People!!! Just bricks and plates.
Bought this hoping to get my niece and nephew started. There are no lego figures or wheels so making moving cars will have to wait for another lego set purchase. Wish there was a picture of the contents.

After playing with this for a few days I found that my son wanted plates, bricks (2 x 4 and 2 X 8), and wheels (my son loves to make cars). I went to lego dot com where I was able to buy these specific things. Also, if you want to find some odd parts from old sets (even going back to the 1970s) try bricklink dot com.

In summary, buy this set first from Amazon and then go to lego dot com to buy wheels, bricks and plates.

I got the Lego Creator 1000-Piece Bucket and I've already made a circus, the olympics, a town and a theme park. You should get this bucket because you can build so many things unlike regular Lego Sets.

So many pieces, and such a low price. It's crazy! I came up with a 4-storied house! If there is more than one peoples at a house, this will fit them.

Pros-
1000 pieces
regular bricks
assortment of colors
Cheap price!

Cons-
They spill all over if you dump the tub
Nothing but bricks (no pulleys, wheels, etc.)
No plate to put the legos on.

I purchased this for my 5 year old Grandson. We had hours of fun building things shown in the enclosed booklet. I strongly recommend purchasing the 'base plate' with this collection. It helps hold the things you are building together.

This bin contains 1000 Legos(Legos are VERY fun and safe!!). If your child likes building Bionicles, Star Wars, Clickits etc. then they will like this! Legos are also very educational. They teach kids to use their imaginations. But, if your child is under the age of about 4, dont worry! There are also bins containing Duplos, and Quatros, wich are made for youner children(they are like Legos only bigger). Legos make a great gift.

I'm not sure if we just timed our purchase right or what, but the price we paid for this Lego bucket was great. After we ordered it on here and were shopping in stores for other items, we realized we had gotten a deal! LEGOS are always a great toy, who could go wrong, especially at such a reasonable price!

2.0 out of 5 stars Seven Hundred and Ninety-five Dollars and eighty-six cents. Take it away, Seth and Amy, November 3, 2010

I mean, REALLY?!?! That's almost eight dollars per piece, yet otherwise, I've never seen a brick collection on this site during this year that averages more than a dime apiece (LEGO regular generally averages six to about ten cents per piece; Megablok Micro, its rival in size, about 4.5 to 6 cents.)

Is this a mistake, I hope? Or am I missing something fundamental?

The price of this unit was nearly $340.00 less than the original asking price...I discovered why. It appears all of the pieces are in there, but there are so many smaller pieces I would not be able to tell if any were missing, and I refuse to count it all. I did discover one piece that absolutely does not go with this set. Clearly, it belongs to another set. The worst part about this unit, IS THE SMELL! Previously used indeed. I had to empty the box, and take it outside to wash the grime away from the inside bottom, and some of the pieces too. Have you ever tried to clean a one or two-pronged Lego? It's a bitch. I don't think my five year old nephew is going to care when he gets this, but the thought horrifies me that he puts any of these pieces in his mouth, and who knows what kind of germs get injested. Overall, I will buy Legos brand new, in a sealed box next time.
