Anoushka Age 7: I really liked this game and can't stop playing it. I played it today with my 5year old brother (I am seven) and we played it for 5hours.

I like the doors which you go through to take you through in to another part of Harry Potter's world and the quidditch game you can play.

LEGO Creator is a very early attempt at making a LEGO Harry Potter game, but sadly, this one doesn't succeed. As I understand it, you collect all of the chocolate frogs in an area to unlock new levels, and there is also some LEGO building and Quidditch excursions. This is a very open-world game, which would be fine except for the fact that the character walks so slow. The...

4.0 out of 5 stars Amusing, but definitely not mentall taxing, October 12, 2003

I bought this game because I found it somewhere dirt cheap, and was amused by the concept. It is a cute game, great for kids. The characters are little slow moving, no matter how fast a processor you have.

This game is really neat!
Just some things. There's no photo album unlike in the first game but you can fress F1 to set the screen as your desktop!!
The music isn't as good as in the first game (Lego creator Harry Potter) but the graffics are much better!
The controls are a lot easyer then in the first game.
In the first game in order to get on a broom stick you had to go to the edit screen and put that person on, doing that is real hard, now you can make some one that comes with a broom stick or use a default one (default means that it comes with the game).
This game's chalenges are better because there well chalenges!
Most of the chelenges in the first game were kind of basic.
Bye! I am going to play the game now ;-)

As I understand it, you collect all of the chocolate frogs in an area to unlock new levels, and there is also some LEGO building and Quidditch excursions. This is a very open-world game, which would be fine except for the fact that the character walks so slow. The one thing I did like a lot about this game was the fact that you can control any living thing, from Hogwarts students to birds in the sky. The graphics are a little glitchy no matter what perspective though. Does the game still hold up today? No, especially because there's a superior, more recent LEGO Harry Potter out there, so this game simply isn't worth the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but slow, November 18, 2009
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: LEGO Creator: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (CD-ROM)
Well, first of all I would like to say that I am not a creative person in regard to this game, so I probably don't get as much out of the game as some people would. Second, I have not already played LEGO Creator Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone, so this review will be based on the merit of the product by itself, and not based on its predecessor.

Harry Potter LEGO Creator is a fun game where you can build a world of Harry Potter without worrying how many LEGO bricks you have and then you can interact with the world you've built. At the beginning there are only a few worlds unlocked. You unlock other worlds through Challenges, which teach you how to interact with the world. These "Challenges" are often fairly easy and not always helpful- if you didn't have them you could probably figure out the world on your own- and the funny thing is, the third challenge is about how to move your minifigure, even though you wouldn't be taking the challenge if you didn't know how to move around. Each challenge supposedly advances you in the plot, but there's practically no story to begin with. If you want a plotty game, buy Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by EA Games instead- the LEGO Creator game actually ends when you finish the Polyjuice Potion.

The features are easy enough to use, and there are plenty of things to work with to get your imagination running. The world you work in is beautiful (though some of the details aren't - some of the flowers look like garlic), and you can even change the weather- although that doesn't have any effect if you are working indoors.

And now for how to have fun. As someone mentioned in their review for LEGO Creator Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, it's fun to build a cage and put a minifigure in it and watch it try to get out, or to put a lot of frogs/snakes/mice etc. in a small area. I also enjoy putting a minifigure in midair and watching it fall to its doom, or stacking several minifigures on top of each other and seeing how long they can walk around without falling off each other. But debatebly the most fun I've had was blowing things up. I have no idea why they decided to give you dynamite bricks, but I'm glad they did. When blowing up Hagrid's hut gets boring, build another cage and put a minifigure inside and see if he can get out before the cage blows up. Or build a giant cage and put a lot of minifigures in it and blow it up. There are (almost) endless possibilities.

On the downside, this game is really slow. Depending on who you're playing, it can take forever to move from one side of the area to another. This can be frustrating if you have to cross Hogwarts grounds- prepare to wait a week. Also, the game takes a long time loading, which is especially annoying when you are experimenting with, well, anything- every time you go to change it you have to wait a while.

Bottom line, if you don't mind doing a bit of waiting, and if you are creative enough to come up with your own LEGO sets, then this game is great for you. But if you have a problem waiting, then maybe you'd be better off with something else.
