I am so glad that LEGO put out these dino sets.

The LEGO club magazine is definitely an effective marketing tool for kids and they want everything shown in the magazine.

Moreover, this is one of the cheaper sets from LEGO so all the more better!

We were surprised that the dinosaur didn't have to be assembled; he was all one piece.

Our favorite thing about this set is that it's easy to carry because it's small.

If we were going to make it better we would make the dinosaur at least be in two parts so we could build it. That's the whole point of legos.

{{{The price I noticed went up a bit since I bought this set. (was $11.99 now $16.99 at time of posting.) So you might look for it cheaper at Wal-Mart or Target. Perhaps these sets were so popular, that Amazon ran out and upped the price. It is still a fantastic little set to pick up, regardless.}}}

If you have a child (or are like me and just young at heart) who likes building toys and dinosaurs, this will be a hit.

In this set, you get a mini-fig with jungle gear and a weapon who drives a little buggy/go-kart looking jeep. The vehicle has twin flick-fire missiles. Then you have a little set piece with leaves and some other environmental-type pieces (orange teeth?) Then of course you have the dinosaur. The paint-job is superb as always and the design is pretty cute. Unfortunately, the dino is not pose-able, but still pretty neat.

I always especially enjoy these small sets that LEGO puts out. They always have great playability and value. I honestly want to get another one or two, as I think these small sets almost always look better in groups.

As a dinosaur enthusiast, I really appreciate the attention to detail to the accurate anatomy and design of the Coelophysis, which is(was) a real dinosaur. Coelophysis was also featured in the BBC television series, "Walking with Dinosaurs," along with Discovery Channel's special, "When Dinosaurs Roamed America" and the IMAX film "Dinosaurs Alive!" The 1974 TV show series "Land of the Lost" also featured a Coelophysis, nicknamed "Spot". Props to LEGO for using an actual species of dino.

I am so glad that LEGO put out these dino sets. I want to get them all! This is a great one for builders, collectors and fellow dinosaur-enthusiasts to start out with!

My son loves LEGOs and we have bought many LEGO sets for him. My son wanted LEGO Dino since he saw it in the LEGO club magazine. The LEGO club magazine is definitely an effective marketing tool for kids and they want everything shown in the magazine. I bought him this set as a small starter set to see how it was since this was a different theme and had a dinosaur. The vehicle is similar to other vehicles in the LEGO City sets. He likes role playing with the minifigure and the dinosaur. He likes building according to the instructions and mixing pieces with other sets to his own creation.

Way overpriced! I thought the set would be much larger that it was. Similar Lego items priced in the $10-$20 range. This one was nearly $50. Will probably return for refund and buy something in the store.

I was very disappointed with this product. It was just under $50 and the box is about 5" x 7" -- and says it contains 80 pcs/pxs. I looked on the Lego site and it shows that this item has been retired. I will be returning it and the seller didn't question my request for the return. I will have to pay for the return postage, but it's better than being soaked $50.
